He founded the Franciscan Order, preaching peace, love, and humility. Known for his compassion towards all living beings, he famously communicated with animals and is the patron saint of animals and ecology. His life was marked by acts of charity, including caring for the sick and marginalized. He received the stigmata, the wounds of Christ, and died in 1226. His teachings continue to inspire millions worldwide, embodying the ideals of simplicity, compassion, and reverence for all creation.

Also, he inspired Ruben Dario, a poet who modernized the Spanish language. He famously wrote, "Los Motivos del Lobo." A poem about Saint Francis, that I believe is worth reading.

Only those souls who live in mortal sins can be consider as dead even they are still alive on earth. So confession and repentance are most essential needed to receive the forgiveness of sins, God is full of love and mercy.

See. Even with his ex-father's money, St Francis was not able to build the Church; but when he started to depend only in LORD GOD, St Francis was able to build 3 Churches. Same as life, unless one is really in need, depending only to LORD GOD, that is when LORD GOD intervene. A moment that only the soul could behold Eternity.

Listen with faster speed. 2x speed works for me. Not easy to speak clearly and at a good pace, since breathing is important, too. I quite liked this account.
