I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and it helped me realize that I need to learn to understand how my brain needs to work and find ways to keep track of my day to day life!! My niece who knows everyone in our family’s birthday got me a little calendar for Christmas and she wrote everyone’s birthday in there. Every single month for the longest time on our family chat room I would ask “who’s birthday is this month” and for 4 years straight I forgot that her birthday was the same day as my anniversary 😂 it’s really bad but I’m so thankful for my niece she said “get your shit together” 😅🥰

this year i've started to wish more and more of just "be happy" instead of "get __ grades" or "go to __ uni" and honestly? life-changing. looking at yourself in the mirror and saying "my goal is to make today fun and happy" takes so much off your shoulders. not every day will be fun, but as long as they contribute towards your overall happiness, that's okay.
