Love your video my friend. I am a TAMA practitioner who has recently begun dabbling East Asian martial arts techniques, predominately Kung Fu and Boran styles. I really liked seeing how you incorporated Kung Fu techniques into your use of this weapon. My father is 60 percent Apache, I bought one these a while ago.

That is a great weapon. I ordered one two days ago. The gunstock War Club is a weapon used by native american indians(mainly the plains tribe of America). The inner curve can be used for trapping as well and striking. Spinning the spearhead around in one motion for a killer ending blow. There are some videos on how to use it. You can see it being used in the last of the mohicans movie end scene as well as videos created by native Americans and their martial arts called okichita(I hope I spelled that correctly). The plastic is called polypropylene. Very excellent material. Extremely hard to break.

Absolutely love the sliding techniques! I would love to see you demonstrate a whole kata with this club. I am currently working on a kata for this but I'm always looking for more info.

The big problem when gripping this club in any other way than intended is always going to be that blade. If you use a thrust attack in one of the alternative grips you displayed, your hands slipping up into that blade becomes a big possibility.

Well yeah in its current state cutting paper would not be possible and he demonstrated with the unsharpened edge. He also mentioned that it could be sharpened if you would like. I personally would not sharpen it unless I intend on using it for or in combat. That's just my opinion 🤷

I love watching people with no combat experience explain how to use their bullshito martial arts techniques with random weapons. I wish we had a bullshito school around here... I've always wanted to be a student in a bullshito school for awhile as a goof

You do realize that bushido (the thing your trying to trash talk) has nothing to do with any martial art techniques, styles or systems. It’s just a code of ethics. Yes, it’s clear that the man demonstrating this weapon has no experience with it but it is a brutal weapon that has been around since Europeans started showing up with muskets. My tribe has been putting it to use along with the ball club, tomahawks, knives bow etc… so it’s not a random weapon. It’s just not popular outside Native American communities.

@jjs3890 Well said. Some people are so closed-minded that they lack the knowledge of things around them. I am aware of who is around me as well as asian and native american heritage as I am interested in such topics. I have the deepest respect for foreign cultures. Thank you for speaking up 😏👍
