my grand-twins had a cupcake each and then something for the adults. They both got their hands and faces into them and it was soooo much fun. Big mess to clean up after but I still look at videos from that day 24 years ago and get happy tears in my eyes

My vote is to make their 1st birthday extra special. Maybe a basic cake or even cupcakes. They may not understand it, but when they're grown, those pictures and video will be special to them.

These babies are yours and it's up to the grandparents to figure out how to visit the children not have full control of the children. Those babies need to be bonding with you Ricky

Hi Ricky, ❤, no such thing as a birthday without cake, blowing out the candles, making a wish, and singing happy birthday. Mum can whip a couple cakes with icing n squiggle names with a icing bag. Strong plastic bag with the corner snipped off. Needn't cost much. Fairy bread, fruit platter, little boys, lolly bags, and sandwiches. Cake, grandies, cousins, lotsa memories and photos. 🎉🍉🍍🍌🎂 xxoo
