I agree with you, , one hundred percent. If you don't have time for a Maligator, you should not have one. I'm 76 years old. I'm married 54 years. I bought a 4 month old female Malinois. Now she is just 8 months old. I spend all day and night with her. She so smart, and easy to train. we play tug of war several times a day, one or two walks a day. Fetch is another favorite. She loose leash walks really well. She heals just fine. She was raised by her mother and father on a farm with all kinds of farm animals for 4 months. Her mother and father were guard dogs, so she's is a junkyard dog. We are working on socializing with people, but do not get too close to me. Nuff said

Totally agree with you. I’m 57 and my husband is 65. We’ve had Rotties, Neopolitan Mastiffs as well as lap dogs. We wanted another larger sized dog and were lucky enough to find one here in Hawaii last summer (not an easy task). We are home with her 24/7. I hand fed her during training for the first three months. She shares our home with our 10 pound Italian Greyhound. She is totally respectful of him. She has never torn up anything in our home - only her toys. She is a wonderful dog. Keeps us busy and laughing as she is such a clown. We love her so much! ❤️

@@aslansgirl9014 I wouldn't go so far as to say she hasn't destroyed anything in the house. She got to some computer wires and my phone charge wires. SO, I took the computer wire and made her a nice loose necklace which she wore for a few days, and we sprayed the wires with some stuff for keeping dogs and cats away from wires. No more chewing wires, BUT just yesterday she started chewing on my tomahawk handle. She also loves to chew the corners of cardboard boxes. She chews our hands and arms, not to hard, but we are old and our skin is getting thin. It was her due claw that did the most damage , but once I took her to the groomers they trimmed and sanded smooth her claws. When I get home from an arrand she goes Tasmanian Devil for a few minutes until I get down and rub her tummy. Like I said, if you want the best and the worst, get a puppy Malinois.

Great video. Wonderful relationship between you two! Beautiful dog, you have done a super job training. Also, many thanks for pointing out its OK to have high energy dog if your an older adult. I'm a senior with a german shepherd and several folks questioned me getting her at my age. Love your food choice, I also feed raw. Thank you for this video!

I have a 6 month Belgian , is all true , and sometimes i think , is this my life now? is literally 24/7 , but they are so smart and so much fun , I was 300 lbs when i got this dog , im down to 240 in 2 months , is been good , but definitely not for someone with no time , yes you can leave him inside a crate for 8 hours no problem , but after you get home , is all for him .

Sheds twice a year! My 2 would disprove that. There are constantly fur deposits despite regular combing.

I think it may have something to do with their diet. This dog in the vid eats like a king.

I work part time 8-9 he shifts. Would that still be good? I’ve been doing research on this breed and continue to do more. I understand these dogs need a job to do and have a lot of energy requiring a lot of time and energy. The only challenge I would have is the 3 days I work. How would I occupy him while I’m at work until I get home? I have my brother that will be there when I’m at work so I was thinking of having him work with him a little while I’m gone.

As long as you know the breed is busy and high energy and you do your research you’ll be fine. Nothing is truly like the experience of owning one though. When you have to leave kennel him. This breed is gonna have to be Kenneled anyway when you can’t watch them. They’re super destructive.

Was there any change in the attitude of your dog when he came home after being gone for the six weeks. I'm getting ready to send mine for the six weeks of training but I'm a little hesitant because of what I have read on the enternet. Thanks..

This page is ran by Evry K9 and not the pet owners you see in the video. Because of that I can’t answer for him, but I can tell you that he was pleased with our work and continues to do business with us. I’m not sure where you’re sending your dog, but good training will not negatively affect the foundation of your dogs personality. It will just create a better word association with the commands that are taught as well give you more control. You should get back a more stable confident dog that knows his/ her commands. The only thing left is handler work.

During that time you were talking your dog should have been trained enough and calm enough at 2 yrs old to sit by your side or be on his place/bed so you can talk in oeace. That was one annoying and busy dog whilst you spoke.
@evryk9763
@evryk9763 Жыл бұрын
I understand your point and i partly agree with you. For me I would want my dog to sit still because that constant moving would annoy me too, but it doesn’t annoy the owner. Some people like strict obedience and some just want enough to make them happy.

My Mal talks a lot, and if you don't pay attention, she'll bark until you do. At first I could not have a conversation. She's better outside. Not so good if a stranger comes over. She's a junkyard dog, except she lives indoors. Very cuddly and loveable to family.
