I have suffered depression for most of my adult life, I was lucky that I ended up with my kids, but I feel everything Eva says. Reaching your own potential when suffering from depression, isnt always enough for others, and you are judged harshly. I am so lucky that despite my depression I have managed to get through often by being able to mask. I feel really sorry for Eva.

Eva is so right! It's hard for people who live with mental illness to love themselves. There are times when I hate myself. Mental illness is the hardest thing I have had to face: not cancer or fibromyalgia or chronic migraine. I was suicidal for almost a year after my bipolar diagnosis. It's so hard to come back from a place like that. But I did come back. I had a lot of therapy, made a lot of progress, had a lot of set backs, & repeated that process. I'm finally in a place where I am healthy in body, mind, and spirit. I'm cheering for you Eva! You, me, and everyone who fights mental illness can achieve good mental health.
