Life isn't always happy, especially with Grief, but humor can help with Nora McInerny, author, a speaker, and the host of Terrible, Thanks for Asking, a podcast that lets people be honest about the hard things in life. She is also a remarried widow raising a beautiful blended family with her current, very much alive husband. She's experienced a heavy amount of grief and loss in a second miscarriage, father and husband in a short period of time. Her ability to share insights, lessons and humor in one beautiful death and grief ball is incredible. Nora McInerny has been seen on her incredible TED Talk "We don't "move on" from grief. We move forward with it".

DEAD Talks with David Ferrugio engages death a little bit differently. Each new guest shares their experience with grieving or perspective on death in a way that shatters the “don’t talk about death” taboo. Grief doesn't end; it evolves. Having lost his father on September 11th when he was 12, he learned the importance of discussion and sharing other people's stories. DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma, or whatever it may be. You may cry, but you also may laugh.

Real conversation with real people about real stuff (while being wickedly funny) - this is the kind of stuff that makes the world a better place.

Love LOVE this woman. She helped and still helps me cope with the trauma of my mother passing in a dark hallway during a Covid pandemic chaos. “It’s Going to be OK” helps daily. I’d love to share about my mom’s grief over my grandma’s passing (which I witnessed age 14) and spiritual signs and how Silent Lucidity became my moms’s grieving song, my wedding song, and then sadly, her song of passage. I’m in Oz… so I’m not sure I qualify for a chance at a podcast to tell my story. I’ve been on a couple podcasts already… but I’ve been hanging to so if you’d want to hear my journey spiritually.

Ok, so to me this is wild, I was so into this episode and was running ridiculously late for work and feeling super shitty about it. I'm a therapist and being a bit over 10 minutes late isn't cool. Here's where it veers a bit toward "woo woo" (at least to me). One of you talked about timing and what you would have missed had you simply left home at a different time. So here I was this morning driving to work with my nervous system jacked up as I tried to hit as many green lights as possible. About halfway to the office I noted the van in front of me said atomrecoveey! I was astonished by the synchronicity since you were talking about the trippiness of atoms. Oh, and as it turns out, atom is an acronym - but still! One last thing, your chemistry was amazing!
