I have around 140 characters across the Homecoming servers. They put so much work into the stability, balance, and user experience that I didn't feel the other servers had accomplished. Plus, there are so many more people to team up with.

Yes, there were MANY additional new players. Everlasting was red. Excelsior was yellow. LOTS of local chat on-game of people who had come back.

I'm so thirsty for new archetypes and power sets. There's so much room for this game to grow, and I can't wait to see it happen. Love to see more City of Heroes content popping up on my feed! Keep it up, boss.

Been on homecomming 4 years now and what i would really love to see is new Zones .. Maybe that out in Space Zone we was always promised back in LIve.

Play on Everlasting and Excelsior mainly. Have toons on all the HC servers.

Regarding the other rogue servers: the Homecoming crowd can't legally say anything about them - it's completely out of their control and outside of the scope of their authority or terms of the license. As for new content I'd like to see - well everything is on the table now. I'd love to see the stuff developed on the other servers added to the game. Fill out the Power Pool sets, add more Anciliary Pools to the ATs (Tanks don't have a Dark or Psi Ancilliary for instance). I'd also like to see some of the older content cleaned up (old story arc contacts, some of the older TFs). Give some of the under-visited city hazard zones like Boomtown and Crey's Folly linked story arcs and contacts like the Hollows, Striga and Faultline have. Really fill out that 1-50 game so that your 50th alt doesn't necessarily have to do the exact same missions while levelling. Basically....add everything lol. NC Soft could still eventually decide to shut everything down obviously, but they've always had that ability. The license gives Homecoming a bit of breathing room to, hopefully, be a bit more ambitious/secure about adding content in the future.

I've played on all the servers I currently play on Homecoming. I really like what all the different servers have done. Thunderspy's Mastermind changes, costume pieces, and level shift for danger zones are super QOL stuff. Rebirths Guardian is actually a ton of fun. New Dawn has some really awesome powersets added, and the vendor gives you tons of chance to test out how characters will be at 50 (this part would be great for beta on Homecoming but not the live)

I leveled up my Mastermind to 50 on Indomitable then switch to Excelsior because of the population. I think the team should go with a new Dimension to explore, such a Praetoria, or Cimerora, would be the best option. CoH should still feel like CoH, action combat would be a mistake.

Agreed with your last point. I was just thinking that my favorite scrapper is a defense scrapper and how that would not work if it was action based. Unless they basically make it like ADP in Dark Souls 2, it would completely ruin the powerset

Raids...new raids. Would rather them charge a fee to fund new content. The only gripe I ever had with CoH was the endgame. They really started building it up, and then the game got canceled. DCUO was fun for a bit, and these other superhero MMO's still haven't been released. I'm thinking this is it.

Just came bk.. Like you I would have no problem, that you could donate every month. But I think It should stay free for the people for those who could not afford it.. As an IT guy, servers are expensive, I play on reunion (love light loads.)

Looks like I'm ignoring my Steam Winter Sale purchases this weekend. If NCSoft is taking this much interest now I'll start saving money for possible future original toon transfer to Homecoming so they can capitalize on this. Please let the old database still exist so my 50+ Heroes/ Villains can resurrect from the digital graveyard. Doubtful yet hopeful.

Homecoming has no real License its fake there would have had to do a viewable license on both homecoming and NCSOFT.

Be serious look at the reporting. Still just Homecoming's statement. Exactly like what you did @@NovaIIDBZII. Look at what is being said direct from homecoming... Surely you know that NC Soft would make SOME statement to someone.... Or IGN, Gameinformer would have something to quote from NC Soft (email, text message, smoke signal).I actually read them and many more looking for this verification, and haven't found it. Homecoming controls Homecoming News website, and much like news like this would do... Created new accounts and more revenue as its more potential people to get donations from. And FYI you also reported some miss-information by reporting Homecoming, just like IGN, and gameinformer. For example: Homecoming says that they are "safer" for your character. Although that is a lie. NC Soft owns the game data . The characters and accounts are on a separate SQL database (accountserver also called "client") than the game server (dbserver). As the SQL database interacts with the gaming server it is not part of it. Thus, NC Soft has no rights to the SQL database. The characters were always safe from them as accounts and characters are property of the server owner as that database is created and is outside the game. For context, I have linked the Ourodev website for CoH. It has a tutorial on how to make a server and under Architecture has the Client - server protocols listed. (wiki.ourodev.com/view/Main_Page) FYI I am not a member of Ourodev. They talk about filing for NPO (Non- Profit Organization). With the server running someone else's software you can't get a NPO number for that. Also you only qualify for an NPO if the company issuing the license (in this case NC Soft) is an NPO. So there is that if the license exists.... Which would explain why they are still "filing" for the NPO. (www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/exempt-organization-types) This was just two... I could continue...... The game, even as per your reporting, says that NC Soft can end at any time. Something they could always do as they own the game data!!! Furthermore, you think a million dollar gaming company would allow some small server to put out officially licensed content under its name without direct moderation before release to protect the NC Soft name? Come on. You should have better critical thinking skills than that. Show me something from NC Soft to anywhere about this....... News source or X or Email or (dare I say) Facebook post. Just something to confirm Homecomings context that doesn't come from Homecomings webpage. Its been over a week since they released their statement.... Shouldn't be that hard..... Trust that I would love for NC Soft to have done this and believe it would be an AMAZING step for NC Soft to show it is a game company that cares about its players. But just because I want it to be true doesn't mean that I should just believe whatever someone tells me because I want to believe it. I still need to see something to show me that it is real.

Homecoming did the whole community dirty more than once, and the people in charge are worse than scum. This won't change my mind. I'd rather the game not exist than play with them

@@NovaIIDBZII I don't play on thunderspy as much. But, they learned their lesson, and even apologized for the mods that let that run. HC hasn't.

@@NovaIIDBZII The coxg/Thunderspy crowd *loves* throwing accusations at Homecoming. Crab mentality at its finest. As far as I understand, one of the earliest instances was when coxg's "techs" couldn't figure out how to make changes in their server configuration, *demanded* Homecoming to provide them with free tech support and couldn't accept being told "no". Keep in mind that Thunderspy was the first COH private server group to start collecting donations, way before they actually had a running server...
