Great video. I wish Eufy would allow you to view all cameras live feed at once on their app. These are wired, so no need to be concerned about battery life. Google nest supports this feature.

I have been looking almost every day for the last few weeks to see your review of this product was available. I love your reviews so thank you for posting. Someday I looking forward to a product review of a home security camera product that is far closer to perfect than this. But unfortunately it is not this product today. The 24/7 recording is really the only thing that is new here to Eufy. And I already have that with my older Nest cameras (which still work great with the older NEST app but also has issues). From watching your video the audio quality is unacceptable for me. And the user interface in that app still feels like a toy to me. Add to that the inability to watch recorded clips from the web browser keeps me a being a buyer of this product. And even though you can watch a single LIVE camera from your browser you can't watch more than one camera at a time. PS: For those interested the new gen 2 camera from NEST are completely unusable because of the GOOGLE HOME app lacking so many things. Cheers!

The stitching of clips was cool. Hope reolink are watching thier competition and decided to implement this feature to an update

To protect the wires you can also use emt conduit. Used it for my poe install.

I noticed there's a flaw in your notification test. You should appear in front of the camera and then move away from it to see if it captured you despite the 4 seconds delay instead of standing in front of it and wait for it to capture you. In real life, no one would stand in front of the camera and wait to be captured by it.

Kinda disappointing that it doesn't have a backup battery, In case of a power outage you completely lost all the footage. The Nest cam has 24/7 recording once you add a power cord. Too bad eufy doesn't want to compromise their battery cams. You either got battery event-only or wired 24/7 but not a middle ground.

Wow eufy is really stepping there game up. To go from the best quality budget option to the best budget pro option is crazy.

I wish they eufy would work on the app and add fast scrolling and live view on the main screen. Other then that I’m good!

Good to know it was 24 hour recording. That's not necessary for most people. I was considering this camera but I'll be looking into some of their other options.

As long as its 24/7 that will be great no matter the choppiness. At least you will still see something. The wireless cameras sometimes dont record anything or stay dead/non recording for a long time, till you go into live feed and it starts to be able to record again which is weird. Not sure why they havent fixed this issue.

I think the Tapo cameras are better video quality and the detection is better too. Plus the app loading time with the Tapo’s are better.

I was wanting to archive a clip that was not considered an event. I could not figure out how to do is so I chatted with eufy. If you want to do this, go to the live feed of the camera that recorded what you want, then go to the time you want to capture and record it on your device. You can only start and stop the recording outside of the event, but it does work.

I was really excited for this release, but after watching your review it looks like the product leaves a lot to be desired. Question to the overall group.... What options exist (now that Nest 24/7 is dying) outside of the Dufy E330 for a 24/7 application?

Is there a way to remove the attached mounts and instead use a different mount (goose neck etc)… something that doesn’t require drilling?

I had a question, but watching the video again answered it. The question was...Can I have this on the same Home Base 3 as my other Eufy Cameras? I figured the answer is yes. The reason I was curious, however, is because it's a 24/7 camera and the others are motion only. What's disappointing though, is that there isn't an option to do motion only. I still have the default 16 gig storage so I would have liked to do motion only until I expanded that.

Good review but one fatal flaw that you didn't focus on was the lack of ability to change the bitrate. It's stuck at 2.5Mbs for daylight videos, this is shocking low compared to Reolink's 5Mbps-8Mbps video. My 5MP Reolink outperformed the 4k (8MP) Eufy camera by a long shot in clarity, once Eufy fixes this up, this camera will be almost perfect, just need a ball joint too.

I really like Eufy, have a bunch of their cameras, but I agree that they really really need upgrade their cameras from 15 fps to at least 20. 15 fps is soo bad. I bought a reolink and it's at 25 fps, so much better to view footage

I got these cameras and the audio is terrible. I had Arlo pro 4 which audio was way better. I don’t understand why the audio is so screechy. Can you find out if this can be fixed via firmware update?

I like the Color Coded scale when it shows detection verses continues recording. that Warble Sound the camera microphone picks up, is that caused by being wireless? I hear that warble sound when people use wireless headsets on the phone calls, sounds like they are underwater.

Is it because of a noise canceling feature to take out the wind, crickets, and such? Is this something that can be adjusted? I couldn't understand a word you were saying during the night test.

I recently got this same Eufy setup. I was very disappointed with the poor audio quality. I heard the same poor audio from your samples as well. I ended up getting some Eufy 2K indoor cameras and added those to the system. The audio of those cameras was significantly better than the 4K E330 cameras. Hopefully, Eufy will improve this in a future firmware update.

Is this the best 24/7 security camara in your opinion? Or what is the best 24/7 continuous camara with no subscription. I also need a 24/7 camara for indoors, I have an autistic child and it’s hard to even take a shower without keeping an eye on him. So I would love a smooth system that I can see him everywhere he gos, hopefully the system has multi screens in one picture.

I have a few e210 outdoor eufy cameras, and it picks up cars that come down my street around 150 feet away It also picks up anyone locking their car at night when the side lights flash it gives me a notification. I would say the pictures quality is great also but when zoomed, it's not so great, but then again it's only 1080p I was surprised this camera did not pick you up at 50 feet away Eufy is probably the best brand out just now yes there app sometimes is laggy or buggy but it always gets fixed and they always reply to my emails I send them

I suggest the review should contain more information about downloading video for real life purposes. Based on my recent experience of the @EUFYCAM PROFESSIONAL (E330) 24/7 RECORDING 4-PACK WITH HOMEBASE 3 I am unable to edit/cut/download from the 24/7 time line so if the act in question is visible outside a motion capture period there appears to be no way to download the video. The Eufy Chat-Bot recommends screen shots which I believe is inadequate and misleading for a product marketed as 24/7 recording security system. I believe that for what could be a good system, without a solution, this is a major flaw. **(Answer below: turn iPad vertically and record button appears.)

What do you think of the spotlight compared to the S40 or L40? And is the S40 still interesting to buy if you are looking for a camera with a spotlight?

I was thinking of removing the mounts and using these as indoor cams. Would you recommend these over the e220? I had the s350s but the night mode washed out to complete black due to glare. Not sure if these would have the same issue

I can’t make up my mind between this and the Swann all secure650, the swann as 24/7 recording and you can also connect a solar panel to it for no drop outs. I really like eufy but the dedicated power is making it a difficult choice

Thanks again. I’m curious on what both your mobile & home internet download/upload speeds are, just to get a reference on your notification speeds. I notice your mobile is always around the 2 bars, which in some areas means you can get inconsistent speeds - could be the reason behind the delay in receiving notifications?

Can you turn off audio recording based on a schedule? I'm thinking about Eufy for my church, but it would be nice to turn off audio recording during normal service times so no one's private conversations get recorded.

Can't adjust the camera mount left or right just up or down. That limits ways you can mount it.

Thank you for this excellent review ! I find this new eufy camera a huge disappointment, I expected much better 1. limited power options, why not add PoE ? 2. Detection range : 40 feet is unacceptable for a powered camera. I understand 30 feet limitation for battery cameras as they PIR based but we get only extra 10 feet for wired, not enough 3. Homebase dependency : why cant we use the camera without it ? What if I want to use one camera standalone and record to sd card or cloud only 4. FPS : why do we get 15 fps like battery cameras ? Again understandable for battery camera but not for wired one 5. Sound quality : horrible. How come we get better sound on eufy cam 3 compared to the professional model ? 6. No PoE/ONVIF : for the professional line product, it would have been nice to be able to plug the camera on an NVR I am under the impression that eufy took the eufy cam 3, removed the solar panel and replaced it with wire, redesigned the camera a bit, messed up the sound and released a new product for us 😂

No POE might = no sale for me when I decide to bite the bullet on one of these systems soon. Reolink would probably be my alternative, but I do like the ability to record to the cloud in case the base is stolen or power/network goes down. I still have access to events.

I wish this had Tapo's color night vision quality. Then I'd get it.

The pairing procedure can be frustrating. the camera and base have to be really close, so if you ever need to pair it again while already installed, it is painful

any suggestion link to buy outdoor weatherproof 15A GFCI outlet with cover so I can plug in 12V Dc and able to close the cover of weatherproof outlet (space enough inside).

I wish they'd make the cameras a little smaller. So the color night vision has the spotlight always on with it? Can color night vision be on without spotlights like Wyze starlight color vision?

I can already see the indoor pan and tilt used outdoors is preferred. Am I missing a product that can compete? I think a solar panel + eufy pan tilt (180 function continous recoding) + internal battery is a dream setup

@LifeHackster - question with these new cameras: can you have a constant view in a monitor in different rooms? Like regular wired cameras?

Something that I don't like so far is that when I'm scanning my playback video at 4x 8x 16x it will play at those speeds mentioned for maybe 15 seconds or so and then it jumps 10 minutes ahead and speeds footage super fast. I actually missed like 4 different people walking by the sidewalk within those 10 minutes. I have to constantly be rewinding footage after every ten or 15 seconds to make sure it maintains the speed I've chosen. Any thoughts on this issue, or do you have that issue?

Yeah, eufy need to work on their audio compression and noise cancellation for sure.

Installed mine on the weekend and it was going well until today.. for some reason the video was over exposed, Everything looked white, it was good days before, should have hdr or something. Doing to re adjust them to see if its the direct sunlight affecting the exposure

any recommendation for the hard drives? I can't find a reliable 2.5-inch hard drive that's rated for 24/7 operation, other than Seagate. I would like to avoid seagate.
