Over the years I've come to realize that in Latin America, we have a lot more in common with Asia's food than I originally thought. Taro (malanga lila) is a staple of Puerto Rican food. Especially with the older generation (boomers).

Taro's stem is also can cook, it called 芋梗. Taro can also cook with congee. Sweets have taro ice pop and taro ice cream. Actually, taro in Taiwan's history is older than the sweet potato. (Sweet potato is from Central or South America.) Before the Qing's Sinicization, Taiwan's staple food is millet and taro.
Living in North America, that’s one of our food cravings from time to time. We can get Taro imported from Mexico. But still is nothing when compared to Taiwanese Taro! Too bad we can’t get the Taro croissant or anything else like that at 7-11 here. But I do enjoy this fun/yummy video you put together! So thank you Allan! 😊

Brilliant strategy!! Allan started the test with a dead hedgehog looking veg, then slowly migrated to some bizarre alien cuisine and ended with westerner's all time favorite sweet. That successfully transformed Paul Potts into the winner of Brit's Got Talent! 🤣🤣🤣I have to say this promo video is even better than Ku's own video. 👏👏👏🥳🎊🎉

taros in hotpot is Taiwanese version of "do pineapples belong to pizzas or not" debate🤣I LOVE TAROS, they're incredibly versatile.
Seems this taro product project will be a great hit! I love taro but hate to peel its skin.😂 Allan did a great job for Kuo. See the true friendship between these big boys! Will try to get some in 7-11.
