The hinge on the 5 feels so much better than the 4 not to mention the reduced crease. The light weight and flat folding is also nice but the best thing is the extra hour or so of screen on time. That alone makes the upgrade worth it for me

I know the changes may seem tiny, but the hinge and decreased size and weight it just absolutely amazing!

One good point the the content creator of Digital Digest made was the reason he encouraged to upgrade to the next year if possible, was that woth trade in deals, you will $800 or less on the most expensive Samsung device which in a way makes sense. Plus it will allow Samsung to keep coming out with future foldable devices.

I came from the z fold 4 to fold 5 and absolutely love it. I was on the fence for a short time, but I am definitely not sorry I upgraded.

I upgraded my z fold 3 for the 5 purely for the case and pen 😂 ive been completely happy with the 3 besides my inability to keep the pen on me for when i need it and want it.

To me, this was one of your best videos that I've been waiting to hear. I've been debating myself to move from the f4 to f5 based on hearing and the videos, that the f6 isn't going to be all that great. I purchased a refurbished f5 from eBay and the condition was Excellent for $789, 512 storage and free shipping and 1 yr warranty. Im fold for life now, I'll just have the iphone during work to get beat up but honestly this makes me want to just carry one phone. Im looking into having two sims (which is no problem) but also having both lines active at the same time. If i get that wotking I'll carry just the fold. Did teams work on your fold 5? When a screen was being shared, it was all stretched out and I couldn’t read it. Did it on 2 calls, battery life sucks.

Also the old Fold 4 cases are on sale on Woot for like $15 bucks right now I don't used the flash too often so for my Fold 5 I got the old spen and the case with the handle.

Upgraded from a Note 10+ 4g. The s pen case is perfect and low profile. I couldn't ask for a better phone/setup. 🤘🏼

BTW, even at 10g...i did notice the difference carrying it my cargo shorts. Didnt think i would but i had the luxury of comparing both phones in my possession. BTW i did try my ZFold 4 Samsung case on my ZFold 5...it works...as long as you like your flash covered up! Waitimg on my new Spen cover so your video was timely!

Like on Fold 4 do we have to put just front screen protector or inside one too ?

I tested night shot vs my fold 4 and found the 4 was brighter but it picked up a lot of light refraction from spot lights. The 5 was slightly dimmer overall but it looked very clean.

i do think the pixel fold is a little to wide. tempting but to use the inside you want a foldable that takes full use of the inside. the 7 pro was my first pixel nice phone but sold it. it was just missing something. and one or two things didn't work as well on that. got the s23 ultra. stunning phone. thinking of the fold 5 as my first folding phone. am worried the front screen will be useless the way people talk about it. spen support for the front would have made it easier to use. will play with it at the shop again tomorrow.

The best ZFold5 video so far!!! The most bizarre argument against Folds is "the optics are much worse than premium phones" while the optics are identical to the S23 series and the x1 photo quality is the same as in the S23 Ultra. Obviously, there is no ultra zoom, but the S23 and S23 Plus also do not have such a zoom as the Ultra version and no one complains about it.

I think Google with the Pixel Fold 2 next year and a mature Android 14 by that time, things will be in a better place in terms of their foldable software optimizations, at least that's my hope and this is Google we're talking about so no guarantees what will transpire by that time. I prefer the Pixel experience above all else but I do agree Samsung's multitasking features in OneUI is better designed it just depends on your view and what your priorities are. OneUI is geared more towards productivity and getting as much done and utilizing the larger interior canvas to get as much done with the space given but either Google has different priorities for how they are positioning their Fold or they're more productivity focused features just aren't ready yet. Personally as far as foldables go, although many may not call it one, my Surface Duo 1 is way more satisfying to use due primarily to two individual screens and that they are actual glass not UTG with a plasticky feel. The feel is seriously something I just can't get over with the foldables on the market today.

Batterylife here around 4u30- 5hours on 4G/5G with the fold open. If I go away for a day, I will have to take an external battery with me. On wifi with the 6,2 inch screen with normal use around 7-8 hours. They have to make the 6.2 inch screen a bit wider because I'm annoyed that I bump my thumb against the side edges when I have to type a text. This may cause me to buy the iPhone pro (max) 15 maybe next month. We'll see, maybe I'll get used to it after all. The 6.2 inch screen is usable without a cover, with a cover it is not good at all. The selfie camera is also not good. The rest of the cameras are okay, the photos and video are very good, the sound is also very good. The large screen is great, the multitasking is very nice, all those possibilities, really great. Other than those few flaws, I can't really say much about it. Top device. Only thing I have to keep checking is the speed; it has happened a few times that I achieved very low speed on e.g. 5G, usually it solves by restarting the fold, I hope I won't have a problem.

Anyone else having issues where the inner screen is not responding to touch. I'll have to click multiple times on a link whether it's in the crease or anywhere else on the screen?

Ive seen people saying the blue S-Pen case is defective. The S-Pen just falls out. Its not happening on the white S-Pen case though. Its only the blue case for some reason.

The under display camera is actually 100 times better than a F4 one is.. is also not as noticeable is that you really get a full screen immersive feeling

I’m one of those people! It’s just UNUSABLE!! It’s too big once you open it, you get way too much space to do too many things, then you start multitasking and everything just get super confusing…then you don’t know where any of the windows go…it just helps people be too productive, and I don’t like it. I just want a phone that you use as a phone for calls and text and doesn’t open. Why can’t Sammy just make something like that?!?🙄

Boy there's really nothing in this five that will convince me to leave my full 4. Have been done what they done and give me a wider more usable front screen and the s23 ultra camera I would have in a heartbeat moved to the new five.

I went from Fold 3 to 5. Not because i wanted to necessarily, but because my 3 started developing that "crease crack" that they can be famous for after having it for 2 years. And Verizon was still offering a 1k trade in credit with the cracked screen so kind of a no brainer. While the S-pen is smaller. I do love that its built into the case now. While not a major upgrade. Its still a nice upgrade nonetheless. Oh and no cracked screen.

I held off on the fold 2 because it still had issues, held off on the fold 3 because it still had issues, held off on the fold 4, same thing. Holding off on the 5 because for $1800 I want the pen inside the phone and a shorter and wider outer screen
