Yes. We should start terraforming another planet WHILE we preserve the earth. We should work to have both available so we can spread earth's population. Also, put a few genealogical and anthropological scientists and historians on Mars (if not venus) to find out if Earth microorganisms DID travel to populate our planet in the early epochs. But I vote for setting up a second so people can decide to live on either and spread the Earth's population out across our own solar system.
@gravidlaaguinaldo9351
@gravidlaaguinaldo9351 7 жыл бұрын
That will take longer and only the USA,Canada and Japan would be rich enough to do it while Africans cant spread its population far and beyond, lets get a lot of countries with green energy and let them keep up economically,diplomatically and technologically before we expand so we make sure Australlia can have a fare share of mars land with the Phillipines and etc...

Devilmonkey It's still a large, there's simply too many of us to account for. By the time we have "ruined" the earth. We'd probably be living underground, it would probably be for a few centuries to about thousands of years. In comparison the current "damage" we have on Earth right now can all be fixed in one day if everyone stops doing what they are doing and let Earth recycles itself. Compare a day to a few centuries. We hardly have any real "negative" impact on Earth, at least in the long-run. 7 to 8 Billion humans would probably be enough to have at least a group of survivors.

Matah nice idea, but it will take alot of titanic asteroids to make Venus spin faster again. and its too risky. it might make Venus' revolution unstable if calculations go wrong, and even it had succeed, would take thousands of years to cool Venus down. we dont need to invest such time just for our offsprings. and if we have technology to guide titanic asteroids to Venus, we could just use that technology to just make Venus' rotations!

If we can smash ice comets into Venus to terraform it, then we would likely have the capability to put asteroid moon(s) in place to accelerate its spin rate. The time scales and technology to do this may be beyond the time we'd need the planet by. We're screwing our planet up pretty fast...

Yea butt even if we could we would have to send a colony ship packed with food and a big enough farm to get their and it would take a couple hundred years so we would also need a place to teach people about everything that has gone on earth so far and because it would take so long of a trip we would have to freeze people for the hundreds of years to get their but also we would have to count all the power consumption by adding solar panels and have a way to contact earth which could be practically impossible which means after the entire trip and taking their time to get their there will be no connection at all to earth or the internet meaning basically we are staring from the bottom and also accounting for maybe a different climate and there is always a chance that the magnetic field will collapse causing the entire "New Earth" to break and the entire trip will be pointless with no way of getting back and no contact and no KZfaq..... Probably most people will lose all hope at that point so the answer is that we would be beter off trying to make the actual SUN livable! Yea and now your comment feels stupid doesn't it. There is a shortcut: Genetic engineering. Each world would have a different version of human. It's way easier to change a few genes than to massively alter an entire planet's atmosphere. Biology is cheap. It would cost about 0.000001% as much as a terraforming job (and I'm really low-balling the cost of a terraforming operation there).

mercury would be the next best option tbh, or saturn's moon titan, but that's a LONNNGGG distance away. jupiter's moons may also be another possiblity

yeah terraforming is needed for human but actually if people think is earth not longer hold people,it's wrong.cause many technolgy in many countrys which significantly bring harmony and hold people.example: 1.we plant some flower,trees in our homes,road,build dll. which can bring good oxygen,healthy,harmony and decrease place. 2.we can make some land from the water to the land.plant it some trees. 3.build a tall apartment.which can hold many population too. 4.recycle the trash into a good . 5.give a production place for make some paper.(trees) 🌲 🌲 well if people around the world make that.it will make good life for earth.and..... if life noggin see this.please don't think I don't watch your video about how long earth hold human.but I think it more good comment in this vidio,not there.and thank you for give me many knowledge for me. Also less Humans. The moon stabilizes the Earths axis and spin. Earth would spin way more rapidly than it already does, and the unstable axis of the Earth would cause the seasons to just, not exist. Thus making the temperature (and many other things) unpredictable, which would affect all life, especially plant life. Which, in turn, would cause Humans to go extinct. This goes for having 2 moons, well at least a second moon that is big enough to affect the Earth, say another one the size of the current Moon. It would also change the Earth's spin and axis. Re-creating what I just said, just a little less drastic I suppose?
