Join me as I pedal and paddle from Squamish to North Van (Deep Cove), the back route, via Stawamus-Indian FSR, and packrafting the length of Indian Arm. I spend one night camping at granite falls. Instead of driving the Sea to Sky #99 Highway, I would say this is the adventurous route to connect Vancouver to Squamish. Thanks for watching!

Man, for Years since you started this channel, your trips inspired me and some of my closest friends. We did several trips already, got mountain training, Wilderness First Aid, Navigation, etc. This is another one of those that I was like “that is exactly the kind of trip I was thinking in doing it”. Keep doing these things. It’s really important to show us not to take BC for granted. So much to explore, so much to see, so much respect for nature. I did Grannite falls a few years ago, but with a standar kayak. How was the experience with yours? Harder to navigate such logn distance? Is the material strong enough to not get punctured by the bike components?

Thanks Leandro! I'm glad you wrote this comment, and I agree completely! Paddling Indian Arm was pretty straightforward, not complicated but it did feel long, tiring on the arms, but I had good weather and it wasn't windy, so that was in my favour. The bike doesn't rest on the packraft with any sharp points sticking in, it's mostly the frame and wheels against the raft. I am careful about how the bike is positioned though, even while the raft is made of a tough material.

That’s a long paddle in a soft craft. Well done. My daughter and I did the paddle in the opposite direction in two single kayaks this spring. Paddling up from Deep Cove to Granite Falls took a few hours with a tailwind. Our paddle the next day back to Twin Islands was a different matter, against a strong headwind (16-18 knots all day). It took a gruelling 5 hours for 2/3 of the previous day’s distance. I don’t think we could have done it in an inflatable boat Glad you had calm seas.

I believe we have the same packraft (Caribou) with Tzip. There are roads that go up the side of Indian Arm but then they end. The Stawamus-Indian FSR ends as it reaches the north end of Indian Arm. So the roads don't connect in the middle to bike through.
