Hey Riza! I just wanted to say how much your videos helped me so SO much the past few months since i've subscribed to your channel. I've been in a creative rut for a good 2 years, it felt like i wasn't going to create anything anymore - which scared me bc i was so in love with my passion then *puff* my drive diminished day by day. Then i went out of the country earlier this year, felt my motivation coming back bc of the change in scenery. When i went home, i decided that i didn't want to give up on my passion, i had to find inspiration again. So i changed the media and art that i consumed. Started to look for things that resonated with me. Then i stumbled upon your channel, which was a HUGE breath of fresh air. I hope you know that these videos are helping so many people. This may just be a "vlog" but honestly it's so much more. Watching you take the time to make something so beautiful because you wanted to vs. just going along with whatever will go viral, is so inspiring. Hi Kariza. Lovely vlog in your week in NY. You make the whole city come to life in how you capture it. And the 2 of you as a couple just makes so much sense ! So happy for you ! I just saw your interview on Digital Spaghetti and goddamn ! That was pretty mind-blowing ! As a professional in the animation industry, I whole-heartedly agree that preprod is essential (the more preprod you make, the faster and smoother your prod will be) and in animation, storyboards are one of the most vital parts of our industry. You simply can't start a movie or a series episode if you don't have a board, so it always boggled my mind when most live action filmmakers and cinematographers dismiss the craft entirely, all to better fit their "creative freedom of the moment". I love just how you don't take them for granted and actually go the extra mile to prepare every one of your shots beforehand so you can have a smooth sailing production and editing process. Keep moving in the right direction !
