I think David could reframe his aging car analogy to say "aging is similar to the wear and tear on cars, except the mechanic tasked with repairing it gets progressively worse at keeping it running." Another way you might frame it is "aging is like having a car where wear and tear outpaces the ability of the mechanic to repair all the problems."

@@vickybiagini8623 Have you ever thought about the possibility, that ideas can poison the mind? Is that so far fetched? And is that "man" or is that the ideas that poison "man"? There is zero evidence for any of the thousands and thousands of gods than humans invented for all kinds of reasons. And the ancient idea of the blood sacrifice, which is only one of several bad ideas in your religion, is deeply harmful. I suggest to seriously look into the arguments against religion.

@@vickybiagini8623 The very fact, that you even ask this question, shows that you have not the slightest idea, what Christopher was talking about. "Man" is the host of ideas and can therefore never be the poison. And Christopher even talked about the ethical problem with the religious idea, that an all knowing God creates a flawed being to then punish it generation after generation, for that very error. Only religious people don't get it.

We all want to live long, healthy lives, and most of us can. But some of us have genetic hurdles to overcome. I found out through GBinsight’s Longevity100 test that I have high Lp(a), which significantly increases my risk for heart disease. Knowing this, along with a family history of heart attacks, means I need to do everything I can to stay healthy, like not smoking, staying active, and eating well. I've talked to my doctor, and now we have a better understanding of my risk so we can take extra steps to keep my heart healthy.

I had this test done too and my doctor found a genetic mutation causing me to hyper-absorb cholesterol. It means my body isn't clearing the cholesterol I ingest from my diet, so it was accumulating in my blood. I found out I could easily change a few things in my diet and reduce my cholesterol levels significantly. Didn't have to be on meds. This probably added years to my life since I am in my 20s and making big changes.

By definition, if cells can regenerate, life should be able to live forever. So it is reasonable to assume that the aging process is not primordial rather it is added later to deliberately sabotage the life during early years of evolution. In other words, it is more likely than not that the initial life forms were long lived because in a self-regenerated life form, the aging process is not trivial and intrinsically unnecessary for the life form. The reason that all living beings have aging process is because the "natural selection" prefers short lived generational life forms over the long lived life forms for obvious reason: better adaptation for environmental changes and faster evolution due to exponential genetic mutations from generational offsprings. Today, human have evolved into a highly advanced creature, we no longer depend on biological evolution, we evolve ourselves through sciences and lab experiments. Without natural evolution, the aging process has no more biological usefulness, it is time to stop it ! Or is it ? in fact, we are not really sure if there are other critical roles played by the aging process. Living forever may create many issues to a society, which cannot be overcome. It also may create issues for the individuals who seemingly benefit from it, living the same life again and again and you know there is no ending, all hell may break loose.

NMN has improved my vision, solved my congestion problem at night, and given me more energy. Others should know that my chronic congestion vanishes for the night if and only if I take ½ gram of NMN before sleeping. So I take ½ g sublingually in the morning, ½ g 7 hours later and another ½ g 7 hours after that. This has greatly improved my sleep!
