Yes a good word of advice. I believe it's put out there somewhere by lifestraw (maybe the manual) but they say to blow the water out of the filter using the mouth end of the filter.

Haven't found one, but I haven't really been looking. The problem is it would be hard to design a bottle that doesn't have a vent because of the pressure created when sucking.

It will filter out bacteria, but I believe some rare viruses are small enough to go through the filter. It's very safe though and people use it in central America, like I did and have no issues

It just latches in, give it a half turn and the filter pops right off

Life straws or more for backpacking and hiking, not designed for city water that is already potable. If you are somewhere that has fluoride added to the water then you can get something like a zero water filter, or install a RO system.

Lol dentist here.. why would you want to filter out fluoride? Fluoride helps enamel remineralize. Thats a good thing. Unless you like cavities lol

I like how you said GLARING and then proceeded to say that the issue is mostly solved. Gravity and the carabineer work when your bag is on your back, but what about when you set it down, especially when backpacking this is an issue because it's going in the trunk of cars, in buses etc, your bag will need to always be upright, super big pain in the ass coming from personal experience of when I used this bottle on a hitchhiking trip. If you look up the marketing media that lifestraw has out for the bottleless version, there is lots of pictures of people leaning over streams or directly using it in body's of water, so either they're being deceving about it's utility or you assume too much about the consumers perception of their product. it would be ideal to have a cup to use it sure, but they are meant to be able to be used in survival/minimal situations and as their own unit. Having a cup on you is not always possible. I stand by this review and think that you are largely wrong on both points especially the first.
