New study shows for the first time that lifestyle changes -- changes in diet, exercise, stress management and social support -- can result in longer telomeres, the parts of chromosomes that affect aging. The study was conducted by scientists at UC San Francisco and the Preventive Medicine Research Institute.

Great info! I love all news about getting younger (purposefully I didn’t use “anti-aging”). I’m 40 and I look 20. Last year I was asked if I’m 21. I do all this guy is talking about. But I do eat meat sometimes, I prefer fish though, fat fish like salmon. A lot of fruits always, I love them. Nuts, cold-pressed oils to a salad (linseed) - important for brain and mental health. What is important is yoghurt and bacterias in fermented food (non-pasteurized!) - good for guts. Guts and brain literally control the body. As long as you eat food that is good for guts and brain, you are okay. Exercise 3x a week and I look like a goddess lol. My 30yrs old friends think that I’m much younger than they are (I don’t share my age with everyone ;). Everyone can look and feel perfect just if they wanted to. I hope more people will treat their bodies like a temple, not like a rubbish bin. I started meditations and I feel even better. I think my telomeres are fine! 😄. I wish you all a long, healthy and beautiful life! 😘

@@adelb7897 quality is learned, and quality is heightened by doing things with integrity. Quality of life is also lifted by increased health span, not just lifespan. The longer you remove yourself from eating our fellow earthlings the more disgusting you realize it is to eat another animal. Like smoking, non-smokers hate it, ex-smokers hate it even more (usually). But smokers love it and say it improves their quality of life, but that's merely a dysfunctional learned behavior. I know this sounds like something out of a movie but can we keep our telemeres long forever for people to age even slower making people who are 60-70 look 30-40 im no scientist but i believe that this is possible with what we have today maybe make something small enough but big enough to make our telomeres from braking off as much or often if we could do something like that it would change humanity as we know it because then our children would inherit it and our great grandkids would live longer than us i think that would be a great leap into the future for humanity but hey who am I to make this happen

I hope there will be performed more studies about telomeres and other health parameters for people on carnivore diet (therapeutic keto diet) and prolonged dry fasting (+7 days) or even longer prolonged water fasting (+21 days). Its not what i learned on my Public Health Nutrition and Food Policy bachelor, but its definitely important to study and to upgrade doctors on so people dont harm themselves by being both patient and doctor because there is no knowledge or info from doctors or any public department (and the larger so called patient organisations just follow the old outdated protocols, so no help or curiosity here)

The vegan diet/religion is misplaced. Most humans around the world evolved as meat eaters. A high carb diet can be very difficult for many people to metabolize into energy. The result can be diabetes and unstable blood glucose levels. People should avoid highly processed meat. Avoiding all meat, eggs, dairy, and seafood can cripple your metabolism and lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Experiment with different diets and choose a menu that makes you feel better while maintaining a healthy body weight. B vitamins are vital for energy production but difficult to get on a vegan diet. Fish oils are also important for good health.
