Huge help!!! I was able to build this shed easily! It took two people thirteen hours but with the written instructions and this video it was doable!

I was able to build this with the video alone, no need for the manual- thank you for making this because just looking at the manual was making my head spin. Video is all you need. 👍🏻

We have one and love it. The only problem is the shed heats up and the top door latches fall open. So we shim them. YOU MUST HAVE A PERFECTLY LEVEL SURFACE TO ASSEMBLE. We’d definitely buy another they are water tight and ours has never leaked even in a flooding downpour.

I have to agree with someone’s comment that without this video I would have NOT been able to assemble this cabane!! The instructions are not entirely as the video. The indication on the material doesn’t always match the guidance. Need to use some human logic in certain areas but for the most part, you should be 2-3 adults for sure, and two half days or a full day but start really early. Good luck ✌🏼

I built this on my own. No video , just following the manual. The only thing I needed was a ratchet strap to hold one of the doors while putting the other one. Hard job but all perfect. The floor needs to be flat. If not, will not align

Great Video to watch before you start. Building the foundation was the only challenge to this project. You will need two people a ladder and a couple of days if you are in your late 60's. Two of us 68 had fun putting everything together. If you have never built anything before, you may want to hire this out. If in Orange Park, Jacksonville Florida area reach out to Bill an old friend and I and we can build it for you.

It would be nice if the video had the go forward and backwards 30s features for easy repeat of steps.

This is a feature on KZfaq's app! Just double click the left side of the video to go back (intervals of 10 to 20 seconds) and the right side to go forward (intervals of 10 seconds). We also have timestamps in the description box to help you go to each specific steps.

If you watch him insert the wall panel, at the bottom, you can see that the bushings are not where he placed them in the floor in the previous step. I had to zoom in on the floor bushings as he inserted the doors to catch it. Took a half hour to figure it out.

The entry gable does NOT fit in the trenches. It’s too short. What am I doing wrong
@Pharn1
@Pharn1 10 ай бұрын
I got this shed, and the only issue is where the poles go in for the doors, way to tight and had to dremel them a bit on the bottom of pole and in the collars to get the fit. Otherwise the rest was fine going together. I recommend putting this on a concrete slab though over a flat yard surface.

What if you mixed up with the door long pole to the side door and short pole on the front hole ? Is it ok ? It is very tight and hard to pull out and undo?
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly 8 ай бұрын
The longer hinge rods will need to be placed on the 8’ side of the shed. If the long poles remain on the 15’ side of the shed, the entry gable will not be able to seat into position because the rods are too long. If you haven’t secured them with the cotter pin key, you will need to pull really hard to remove the hinge rod from the bushing.

@@LifetimeProductsAssembly I’ve just had a less than pleasant few days trying to beat the weather to get this beast up… just a point for future guidance and possibly a manufacturing change… THE HOLES IN THE HINGE RODS ARE ALTERNATE AT EACH END OF THE ROD!!! So I inserted the rods into the bushings thinking I was aligning the holds in the rods to the slits in the bushings looking at and turning the top of the rod to align them before hammering the rods down into the bushings. When I couldn’t insert the cotter pin key I checked the rods in the second set of doors and discovered to my pain that the holes are the opposite at each end of the rods!!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT??? And no I could neither turn nor remove the rods from the bushings, so I resigned not to insert the cotter pin keys. I continue to try and finish this in the rain (thank God it warmed up a couple of degrees so it is no longer snow!!! I was almost finished… put the first roof cap (AGG) in above the gable end fine… but just tried to insert/attach the first of the longer AFY roof caps to discover the first one does not span the gap between roof panels as it should. All the screw points in the roof panels align with the right holes in the trusses so they are in the right place. You haven’t broken my spirit yet… but 3 days into this build I’m getting to the end of my end of my tether, as I try to get it up to beat the weather!!!

You need a camera man instead of a tripod. You need to be able to see both sides of what you are working on. It make it less confusing. Just a suggestion.

Do not buy or build this shed. Send it back now while you still have your sanity and some self respect. The parts are not labeled like this video. It does not go together easily like it does in this video. We broke my rubber mallet in the process and I’m missing the last roofing panel. Do not buy this shed.

😢 I’m part way through the build… floor, three corners and two walls erected… had a heavy snow fall last night and have just cleared snow to continue building… LOTS of reasons this didn’t get built before now… I have not had any issues with assembly instructions (NOTE YOU NEED TO READ THEM CAREFULLY) apart from my doors are going the opposite position to what was in the instructions and video so not as easy to follow. I’ll come back to let you know how my sanity is holding up at the end of today… snow crushed the large tent that all our stuff is stored in while waiting for the shed to be erected… snowy cold day… not a great time to be dealing with an erection in the garden 🤔 Oh and I used concrete slabs for the base which are not perfectly aligned… this matters A LOT. I’m still not sure if it will work ok… in hindsight I should have poured a concrete base to have it perfectly flat, but I’m too far down the road to stop now.
@alistershaw7976

Soooo cold 🥶… think I still have my sanity… though that may be debatable… not finished yet… been at it since 7:30am through cold and rain. VERY different conditions to the manicured setting in which the assembly video was done… I’d definitely advise leaving purchase and assembly until spring/summer and definitely pour a level concrete base before you start your build.

I just finished mine three hours ago. I had to pour 13,000 lbs of stone, level and compact it then built a 15x8 platform out of 2x4's and 1/2" plywood, then screwed the floor to it after erection with 30, 2 1/2" exterior screws with quarter sized washers to hold it down nice and flat.
@alistershaw7976

@@zacharyfabian5293 Congratulations Zachary. Where are you based? I’m guessing US by the fact you refer to imperial measurements. I worked in the cold and rain in the UK all day, but really needed a second one of me (had some help from my teenage kids but that was short lived) Still not finished. Praying the rain remains rain tonight and we don’t get another dumping of snow. Hoping I can get it completed tomorrow… maybe a wooden base would have been easier, but definitely think pouring cement would have been the best job for the base… not slabs.

I have an issue because on the short side door, the two holes are at the edge of the wall, which is fine, but on the long side door, the hole which is supposed to take the tube for the right door is under the wall!?

On the 15' side, the bushing for the right door will actually go in the keyhole shaped hole.
@LukeMosse
@LukeMosse 5 ай бұрын
@@LifetimeProductsAssemblyI did actually place the floor panels according to your instructions. With the key shape hole on the right, the hole is several cm too far from the wall, so you have a big gap. After redrilling a 25mm hole, the doors line up the same way on both sides, and close, so I don't see how the instructions can be correct!? The issue I'm having though is that the door awning won't go on. But everything on the wall is lined up. I have posted videos to show my example you can see that the keyhole hole is on the right. It is far from the wall whereas the circular hole on the left side is flush to the wall.
