I went through divorce etc etc. I still pull my finger out of my backside and did it. I work six days a week 60 to 70 hours a week but I own it today I’ve been in the house now for 32 yearsand they’re not taking me out only in a box

I totally agree with your assessment Josh, and it's not just sheds, the spectrum is huge for what people want to own, from houses and cars to electronics to who knows what that they can "buy" and then try to abscond with, personal responsibility is on the debtor to make payments or turn the item back to the lender, not the other way around

I only ever purchased anything on credit that I could not afford to pay cash for! I purchased a car, a home, and a 12 x 16 shed and paid cash for all of them. I was able to retire at 58 with a large nest egg. I do have a college degree and never invested in the stock market or 401K accounts. I worked hard and saved every penny. My credit rating is 860. I never defaulted on a single loan or was ever turned in for collection. I only have one credit card and never maxed out any card. People need to learn to live within their means!

My dad used to save up all the money and buy some thing and never financed anything but that was his generation things are different now people want all kinds of crap that they can’t affordcrazy

I don't know why people would rent to own with the interest on the load is over 30% from what I hear on them sheds?

I can't believe it goes into repo status after missing one single payment.

At least with these rent to own buildings, you don't have the government changingthe contract in the middle of it as happened with Covid telling landlords they could not evict tenants fir slmost a year. Just ruined my property and left a mess as bad or worse than the worst junk left in one of the barns. I won't live long enough to recover that loss

Rent to own is a scam to some extent. But not as bad as payday loans. The folks that need those things really need to understand what they are getting into and how much it will actually cost them. When someone can’t pay but the contents of the shed is a bunch of stuff they don’t need, or that they could sell since they aren’t using it drives me crazy. I wonder how much they are spending per month to house items that aren’t that valuable? I can’t even make myself rent at a mini storage. I don’t have anything that valuable I guess. I do have a shed. A small one that was $399. It holds pool floats and pool toys. That was def worth the cost since we’re buying new toys and floats every year. The small shed has payed for itself. 😂

People make decisions, do not like the consequences of this decisions and start putting blame on everyone except the decisionmaker: them self. Always the same.
