@@fred7883 No, the American school system doesn't divide history based on skin color. It skips history and/or minimizes that history which does not come from white Americans. They don't teach the trail of tears properly on how we stole America from the Native Americans. They don't teach properly about slavery in many areas claiming that slaves were happy to be such because they were cared for. They don't give credit to so many people of color of discover or work to the technologies that we have today. It's not a skin color thing, its an erasure of history thing. I don't believe in the history months as we should be doing a far better job at educating our youth in everyone's history, however I do believe at this moment they are essential to truly educate. We have those months because of the forgotten voices demanding to be heard and not erased, so currently they are needed as a sad fact of America's lack of properly educating.
