Yep, I've always had "lift with your fingers" as one of my key tenants when bowling, and reading your comments on how it adds unintentional loft made me realize how true this video is. Great video! I struggle with the same thing two handed. My mental trick is focusing on open hand at release. Helps me not lift with the fingers and instead roll the ball forward off the hand and follow through.

Great tip! def will try it next time on the lanes. I def have the same lifting/unintentional loft issues. I have been aiming at the arrows with my eyes, so ill try pulling that in and really trying to drive the ball forward closer to me

Great video! That is exactly the problem I suffer from. I will try this technique. One more thing you could mention is elbow injury. I suffer from golfers elbow from hitting up and grabbing it at the bottom of my swing

I struggled with this a lot last night. I will practice rolling thru looking close to foul line. I had previously done it just to get closer to the foul line in general, but will practice it more. I like hitting max revs at high speeds vs feeling like I'm putting all the gas in just to miss the 3 pin at 15 mph vs hitting the pocket at 17-18.

This makes total sense. The modern release is like a yo-yo, they say. How can you have said release if you're hitting up on the ball. Extend the elbow out toward the target, release, and follow through.

Well i find lots wrong with this and by you saying ball hooks too much or anything means you arnt adjusting for your type of release. You are making it seem like you are suppose to only play between the 3rd and 4th arrow from this video. Hell ive always lifted but still accurate with tons pin action even with low revs.

After about 50 yrs I figured out how to grip the darn ball and give good rotation with control. Nothing to do with fingers.

As always, a good tip... never thought about moving target closer with eye for the purpose of less up-hit... gonna give this a try !
