20-25 minutes is the sweet spot imo. With some 5 minutes or so of live play. I enjoy the timelapse more, personally. Guess it's because the framerate is smoother.

Fun to watch as a seattlite! One small suggestion: in the seattle area, there is like no light-brown-dusty-dirt anywhere like there is in CA around buildings or as a result of a footpath. Instead, when a footpath is formed, it tends to be a dark and muddy type path haha. Not a big deal at all and doesnt detract from this project. Nice work!

Damn three comments is a lot but to get the lrt over to the Portland area, maybe try a lrt only bridge like the skytrain one in Vancouver that was built around 2010 I think. It’s the longest transit only bridge in the world as far as I know. Maybe it could be a few hundred metres away from the Sydney one

Those last two shots with the mountain in the background *chef's kiss*! That's quite a lot of people using the station. They're jonesing for public transport over there lol! Adding the trolley bus line was not a bad idea. You could expand on that in the future; maybe some kind of transport hub around that area.

Such a cool build. The rocks really just tied everything together. It’s really awesome seeing the transit come together - the first person ride was awesome, and the other lines seem like they’ll be really cool. BRT would be a cool build to see, even though rails are always better. Also, not sure if you’re interested for New Windsor, but someone did an MBTA reskin of Ninja’s XD40 New Flyer. Haven’t seen it in game, but it might be nice.

For the bridge, perhaps it be "commuter rail" or other intercity transit? Perhaps it was once the only passenger rail link across the Bay, but with the new light rail it was kept as an "express" link? :)

I love what you do with hills. Have you ever considered doing a Midwest-style river city like Cincinnati or Pittsburgh? I'd love to see you take a crack at the hillside neighborhoods with the incline railways (Cincinnati used to have several, and Pittsburgh still has one) overlooking the rivers. I imagine you'd have fun with the old industrial riverfronts and subsequent gentrification, and lots of historic building styles. Cincinnati is my hometown, and is absolutely gorgeous, so I'd really love to see you try your hand at it (especially if you fulfill my fantasy of a restored streetcar network)!

See it like this in Milwaukee area too especially on the upper east side will be 15-30 storey condos/apartments next to former mansions and smaller single family homes. Then throughout rest of area will be 3-6 storey mixed use mostly apartments next to single family houses of varying types based on where/when specifically that part of the city was originally developed.

@AC-pr9vr 4 жыл бұрын
You could jus kind off selectively remove some of the low density and replace with high density. Not at all unusual in PNW. NIMBY's abound but reality for many property owners is that property values skyrocket as more and more high density is built near by. Developers justify increased cost by simply adding more units per lot which results in even higher densities as land prices increase. The addition of light rail obviously has the same effect on property value and density which you capture so well in this video.

I feel like you’re the donoteat of public transit and bicycles, so if you’re gonna change things in the video maybe make some more commentary on insights into real life infrastructure projects, by incorporating things like the planned city in Portland called Orenco in this city, with those weird curvy sidewalks; or in Calvera beach there can be evidence of an intersection that once had just stop streets, but now is a round about (like one in Laguna Beach); and maybe in New Windsor, a tolled parkway that abruptly ends with an intersection, with evidence that the community past it must have blocked the authorities from demolishing their homes to make way for more of the freeway. I feel you more than a lot of other CS: players have the ability to create these hidden stories, (like the episode with the overgrown downtown construction site) which I feel gives you the opportunity to expand on this and really add a dynamic layer to your series. Other than this, maybe add some evidence of the other cities in your builds, like referencing New Windsor in Columbia, (I still believe the I90 must be connecting these two cities 😉) and perhaps when you build the airport in Columbia city, you could follow a plane taking off on its way to another fictional city like the “Los Angeles” of Calvera. (Also, I definitely think you should add even a vanilla airport, hidden on the map in calvera, watching planes fly over the sea coming into land would be super cool, just adding some realism, California seems to be full of planes) Anyways, other than that, branding wise I don’t really mind about if there’s new thumb nails or a logo. Keep up the great work! Big props, from South Africa 🇿🇦
