Thank you so much to make a video that is simple for beginners to follow. Please continue making this kind of video. I get so intimidated with other videos OMG!!! to me it take the fun out of coloring with so much techniques. I understand I would love to color one day the same way but boy as a beginner I gust want to put down the coloring book and never picked up again to be honest. Thank you so much and 🙏🏼 keep making more simple videos. Love it.. I have a Sherry Baldy coloring book that is super cute that I want to try but there is not a lot of videos to watch for this kind of book

I've learnt so much from your channel and I've only been subscribed 3 days. I've been watching other KZfaqrs for a while and i cant seem to learn anything because they make it seem so complicated with very large pencil sets with colours a begginer wouldn't have. You use cheap supplies sometimes too and its nice for begginers because it proves you can acheive really pretty art with low end supplies.

I am so happy to see the completed Vilan San image💜. This video was so well thought out and well explained, thank you. I'm so glad you demonstrated using a posca pen, I recently puchased one and am getting ready to transition to using it instead of a gel pen for highlights. I want to add a little information for anyone who has a windows computer with a paint program. I discovered that the paint program has a color wheel and color scheme generator, so if you have a paint program on your laptop or tablet you might want to play with it to find out how to generate a color combination, it's pretty easy really.

Fyi from a Barry about raspberries...individual raspberries are actually clusters of many fruits and each of those fruits are called " drupelets" and contains a seed. Usually the seeds are soft and not noticed when eaten. If you could watch a video of a berry forming, you could see how each drupelet grows by itself and they then get stuck together because they are growing so close to each other. That's why raspberries are so fragile. Not being a smartass, just answering your question. A benefit of being really old is the mass of useless knowledge one collects. 👵👍❤

@@SimpleArtforAdults Yes I am, but this tidbit comes from being a farmer's daughter. Lol! Growing food wasn't our primary concentration, but we did have orchards and gardens, including some berry bushes. We tried to grow as much as we could because farming is not a very profitable occupation. But it is a great way to live, especially for kids.

Hello Erin. This video was very enlightening. Thank you. One question. What if your picture doesn't have a obvious "focal point "? For example ONLY a lot of flowers on a page (no vase or other item and no large or main flower) like in a lot of Johanna Basford's book World Of Flowers. Hoping you can advise💜💙💜💙

wow Erin I really enjoyed this video. It was well thought out and very informative. I can't wait to try out your ideas in my own books now. One thing I wanted to ask is why my posca pen lets out huge blobs of ink instead of small dots like yours? Its very messy and ruined one of my coloring pages. :( Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us. I am soooo glad you came back to the coloring world. We missed you
@SimpleArtforAdults
@SimpleArtforAdults 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Sheila! I really appreciate that! I'm not sure why your Posca would do that. I have only ever used a black and a white and these are my very first Posca pens ever. I haven't experienced that. I know you aren't alone, though. Posca pens need to be shaken. It's acrylic paint inside the pen, and it can separate over time or due to the temperature. If you can, try to keep it at room temp (always) and give it a nice, hard shake (with the lid on - I made that mistake once and got Posca EVERYWHERE!) before you try to use it. Maybe try it on a piece of scrap paper to the side to make sure there aren't any clumps or anything before you move to your coloring book, too. And I'm so happy to be back! I missed all of you! Hugs!

@@SimpleArtforAdults thanks for the quick reply and oh my goodness I can't imagine having the posca paint everywhere like that LOL Pooor you! Mine are the black and white ones too, but the white one just may be a dud as no matter how much or how hard I shake it, ......it always lets out a huge blob instead of a nice little dot. Grrr... They are in a pencil container on my desk , nib side down. Maybe they should be laying down flat? Or nib up? They should come with instructions lol ...thanks again Erin.
