In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). @@Inexpressable grammatically no. It's ambiguous due to the the lack of a comma. Similar to " I love cooking, my dogs, and my family." vs. "I love cooking my dogs and my family". Ones clear that the person loves three things, the other could imply they cook their dogs and family.

I love sentences that probably never have been said before and is sometimes even funnier out of context. "The candle went out 'cause I said 'bubbly fuck'!" is one of them. :D

What if you did the three yoga balls on the mat approach and brought the candle in the caravan to the room instead of the other way around? Also, if you used the cupcake’s candle to light up other things, could you create an infinite number of attempts with the new flames?

It said light the candle in the caravan, not the candle that used to be in the caravan. And I don’t feel like that would count as the same flame.

@@rachelcookie321 It is the same grammar trick as the yoga ball task, which was “Place the three yoga balls simultaneously on the yoga mat on top of the hill.” or something like that. One contestant brought down the yoga mat from the hill and placed the balls on top of it at the bottom of the hill. They didn’t disqualify him and accepted his method.

@@rachelcookie321 Also, the task in this video says “Using this flame, light the candle in the caravan.” So if we light other things on fire and use those new objects to light the candle in the caravan, we would still be using the original flame.

I would've left the candle in the lab and light something else (let's say another candle) using that flame, then run to the caravan. Every time I see this I think Bob has the same idea and he's about to set the task itself on fire after he read it.

I would've just gone and got the candle from the Caravan and brought it to the cupcake. Also, the funniest part about "Bubbly Fuck" is that it makes sense why it did what it did, since you wind up blowing out a bit of air on the F.

before setting off i would have opened all the doors leading to the caravan and including the caravan, then i would have switched the fan and sprinkler off, and i would looked for something to protect the flame

At that point just take the candle in the caravan to the lab. The task only stated where the candle to be lit was located, not that it had to be lit in the caravan at all.

Could have set up the run first, there was nothing I heard that said they couldn't leave the cake there and check the route first. Hey this fan is running 'turn it off', bubble machine 'off', caravan locked 'get key and open door. Or better yet grab the damn candle and bring that back to the lab.

I thought the same thing. My guess is that they likely didn't have all of those things going when the contestants first came into the house, and turned everything on after they had passed by, so they didn't know about it beforehand. With the pressure of time, the contestants just started going with the cupcake before they saw all the obstacles, but by then were already holding the cupcake and figured to just plow through instead of head back and fix the obstacles. It would've been a brilliant strategy, but hindsight's 20/20

Even though it only says 'the candle in the caravan' it can still be said it means to light the candle while inside of the caravan. it's written well enough

@@Inexpressable It can be interpreted both ways. Richard Osman exploited this in Series 2 with the ‘Put the 3 exercise balls on the mat on the hill’ task, where he brought the mat down, and was given the points because it’s a valid interpretation. Same should be applied here.

My first thought was just leave the cupcake and check the route. I'd just turn off all the obstacles then get the caravan candle and realize, well I could just bring this back to the cupcake.....
