This is one of the coolest weather videos I’ve seen. You get some awesome storms down there (I’m in Minneapolis, MN). We used to but the storm track has moved to the south of us now.

The frequency is incredible. Its interesting how severe storms with hail often produce a lot of lighting in the middle and upper portion of the cloud as opposed to cloud-to-ground.

Fabulous video, Mother Nature at her most awesome, what a treat the lady enjoyed that night, with all that lightning was surprised we didn't hear any thunder

It’s heat lightning, which occurs when lightning is too far away for the thunder to be heard. 🙂⚡️

Holy smokes now THAT is definitely a supercell & not a storm to mess with!! That kind of continuous lighting is unmistakable. Even spotted a few rare blue jets off this one. I can really see some serious structure on it when zoomed out. This storm appears to have broken the 50000 foot cap & I you see it at 7:41. Glad you captured this!! The more lightning a storm has... the stronger it is. What a show! Going in my favorites playlist for sure. 😊

A few years back we got caught out in the open in a storm just like this one…(the tornado went just north of us) …a night I don’t miss…👍👍👍👍
