Your so pretty I know this video is from like 2015 but if y’all add a tiny bit of honey or coconut oil with the baking soda and the hydro peroxide it stops damage. I did it with honey on a small strand of hair to see how it would look and it took my hair from dirty blonde to light light blonde

Interesting. Well now I know why my hair turned a honey blonde after taking a bath in baking soda. I did get my hair wet. I wrapped my hair up in a bun and went to bed as usual, but the next day, I woke up a blonde. It was very pretty, except I really didn't know how it got there, now I do lol. Thank you for your tips here.

I know this is a old video.. but would anyone happen to know .. I have used loreal paris for years well I bought the blonde one below I use on accident my hair is a light weird brown with some purple in some spots not bad . Can I do this process and put my color on the same day the one I usually use?? I do know putting it on what I have now does not work color does not lighten color. The trick to faster processing is to DISSOLVE the baking soda. One bottle peroxide and one tbsp baking soda.

Alivia B Its a natural alternative to hair dye. Your "damage" shouldn't exist. Make sure you deep condition because the combination is strong. I would dilute it with water

I DONT UNDERSAAAANDDD (Don't worry not a troll comment) I SEEM TO BE THE ONLY ONE THIS LIGHTNING THING DOESNT WORK ON!!! I already have (dirty) blond hair but I wanted to make it a bit brighter, I have done this twice and literally nothing happened (besides my hair drying out).... I had a friend tell me the first time that I need to sit in the sun with it in my hair so I did that the second time BUT NOTHING HAPPENED!!! WHYYY? :(

Hi! A few things could’ve happened. The main ones are that the peroxide dried out before it could work on your hair (which is why it’s best to do this with baking soda, to allow the peroxide to process longer), or you may have used metal to mix the two (you should typically never use metal when lightening your hair because it will ruin the mix)

Copernicia Alba you would have to tone your hair with toner if you wanted it to be an ashy color. This method is only for bleaching/ lighting your hair.

Duuudeeeee, I’m sorry that happened :/ you may have to leave it on longer and stay outside in the sun. Also I noticed it gets lighter the more you’re out in the sun. When I first tried it got to brown then it got lighter day by today then I tried again and it got to that blonde color. Also make sure your mixture is alittle watery, not too creamy.

Its basically damages ur hair as much as normal bleach does. Yes it is permanent because it bleaches the melanin in ur hair. It doesn’t put color over it.

Tiffany rogers it will lighten the brown color to a blonde. The reason it was subtle for me is because I started on black hair.

dont use more than 3% because it will damage your hair pretty bad and make it dry

it doesn’t have to be super creamy but I’d recommend to add more baking soda then peroxide until you get a good texture.

Tbh blow drying is optional , I did it to speed up the process, that's what I did in the video ,but depending on your hair health, do what's comfortable for you.

You have to keep bleaching it until its at a level 7 to tone. a level seven is a true blond color close to white.
