Judging by the safety, this is a rebrand of the “JR15” that made CNN reee a couple years back. I guess they’re just advertising it as an ultralight rifle for adults now.

It's supposed to be a training rifle for kids, you'd just have comically long mags. The whole idea is to introduce them to the AR young, so they're familiar with it when they're older and can handle a full size rifle.

If you have kids and you buy this over a Ruger 10/22? You are a terrible parent! This company is going to Go out of business and no replacement parts or 1 round or 5 round magazine's are going to be available and this rifle is going to be $500 worth of broken garbage sitting in your Gun Safe while your kids are racking up the rounds on the Ruger 10/22 that you ended up buying anyway.

1: Make it compatible with 10/22 or P322 magazines. 2: Offer a short barrel option and sell it with a pistol brace. 3: At least machine the upper and handguard from aluminum so you don’t crunch the picatinny when mounting optics and so you can actually use the M-Lok slots.

If it could accept a full-size grip, LOP buffer tube/ stock, and better capacity... Maybe compatible with the 10/22 25rd'ers or mp22 mags... Then I'd be way more into it. its neat, although not sure who the target end-user is supposed to be considering the price and what else is already avail. Interesting tho.

It's uh, a 20% reduced size AR. So maybe it's for you know, kids, who are smaller than adults. The reason things aren't compatible, is cause it's smaller. So making it compatible with the market... would make it bigger

@@bower31 thanks captain obvious. They've already stated future model(s) with longer reciever extension so obviously they have a larger bodied person in mind to some extent. And you could very easily make it accepting of larger grips w/o altering the 8/10ths overall proportion. Mag compatability would obviously require retooling the magwell... I was just saying the described hypothetical that would prob make it more appealing to a larger base, as many others have also said. 👍

@@superrad1659 Yes, an optional longer stock. As you might know, most children get taller with time. Not every gun needs to be gucci dripped out with all the current cool guy parts. You teach your kid how to shoot, and how to handle an AR. They get old enough to shoot a 5.56 AR, you can hang all the shit on it your heart desires.

Small lightweight innovative 22 , lost me at 10 round mag. I could see due to the overall size of rifle.... Some limitations in mag size ..... But honestly probably the 10 round mag..... Had more to do with a handful of state's that limit magazine to 10 rounds..... Terrible business decision 😕 Enjoy selling them exclusively in those 5 states Company probably manufacturers them in one of those five states with restrictions 😂

No for me. I paid $289 for my Ruger 22 Charger pistol is very lightweight and I have a ton of 25 round mags. Put a Tandemkross trigger kit and a SB folder, it's a great plinker.

This just seems like one of those "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." situations. Unless your plan for the upcoming collapse of civilization is to stalk the wastelands as a warlord leading a regiment of child-soldiers (and if it is, more power to you) and you just really need to get the kids familiar with the AR platform from the minute they can walk, this seems like an odd thing to spend nearly five hundred bucks on. If it's just about teaching your kids to shoot and have fun plinking at some soda cans... Rossi and Henry make lever guns, there's plenty of bolt-actions, and the Ruger 10/22 exists. And if you just gotta get that AR muscle memory started ASAP, the M&P 15-22 is already a thing. (All that said, I might buy one for laughs, but only if they'd done it as a scaled-down Vietnam-era M-16, fixed stock, big chonky triangular handguard, carry-handle, etc.)
