This Welsh Walk is about 4.5 miles long and goes through the villages of Marcross and St Donats in the Vale of Glamorgan South Wales. You also walk along the cliffs of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and past the Nash Point Lighthouse and Fog Horns It takes about 1 and a half hours.
There is a private can park at Nash Point which costs £3.00 all day. During quiet periods and the off season you could be lucky and the parking attendant may not be there.
There are some pubs in the villages around Nash Point such as the Plough & Harrow in Broughton.

Hi Marcus. I've not long found your channel and absolutely love your videos. In fact have been binge watching this weekend! Have very happy childhood memories living in North Cornelly near the dunes and also on New Rd Porthcawl - next door to the Brogden. I visit every year with my family and we stay at the wagon house in Marcross. Have missed being there since covid and can't wait to be there again next year. Keep up the good work, your videos are fascinating and also informative. Thank you Marcus!

Thank you, Marcus, for another very interesting walk. It brings back memories from 55 years ago when I was a student at Atlantic College. We used to walk frequently to Marcross and the nearest pub. Also good to see the slipway at St. Donat's Castle. There used to be a swimming pool there where went for our early morning swim. We changed in the old draughty horse barracks. Also the foghorn at Nash Point scared me when I heard it for the first time. Thanks and keep walking, Marcus.

They've still got the swimming pool at the back of Atlantic college. Yes, I remember hearing the fog horns from Porthcawl as a kid. Although they don't us the fog horns anymore, they still used to set them off occasionally to show visitors but I think that stopped a few years ago.

Another really enjoyable and relaxing vicarious walk on my binge catch-up of your channel! 'Loved your groupies (or should I say 'moopies'?) at 09:50! 😀 On a serious point, you mention that this footpath is poorly maintained in places. Although it's a designated path, who would be responsible for the upkeep? I'd be very interested to know. Many thanks once again.

Thanks for watching - I'm not sure if its the council or the landowner regarding the footpaths or a combination of both. The council should have a record of all the footpaths.

The attendant who used to frequent that booth was an absolute nightmare! Thankfully I think he’s gone now, he must’ve been 100 ten years ago.
