Really interesting tutorial, thansk Colin! I'd never used this effect before, but I do use a lot of radial filters in LR for 'relighting' images. This gives so much more control - mindblowing stuff!

LOL!!!! I've been doing this is video editing and after effects, etc. for years and kept wondering why it wasn't available in Photoshop!!! IT WAS AND I NEVER KNEW IT!!!!!! Typically I would do this sort of thing using exposure adjustment layers and masks to get more control but this is definitely a super quick way to achieve some nice lightening effects! I actually never knew about this feature within PS so might try it out on future edits, could be a time saver in some cases!
