Lightning arrester is a compulsory safety protection for buildings in NEPRA guidelines . It is widely used in telecom towers and high-rise buildings. It is a spiked copper rod installed at highest point of building and grounded on the other side at earth pit. A sperate earth should be done for Lightening arrester on any building.

Very informative...!!! Earth pit banany ka tariqqa with practical .. share karin...!!! Most of us are willing to do so.. but we avoid due to Electrician's Fee / expense...

Assalam o Alaikum ww, sir I have recently installed/fitted Longi hiMo5's 540Watts x 6 panels mean a system of 3kW solar system, so should I installed or fit the lightening arrester to save the panels near my solar panels at top of the building?

Sir Panels aor arrester keliye DC wire sahi ya Ac,Meny 6kw system keliye 10mm white cupper mai DC wire li hy kiya ye sahi hy ya Ac wali wire lena padega

Earthing ki alag sy aik copper cable hoti hai rope type . Do not use normal Ac wire

Sir mai nay apnay ghar per net metering solar setup lagwa hai. Ghar is single story. Abhe lesco team nay vist kerna hai. Solar vendor nai lightening arrestor nahe lagaya. Aur kaha hai kay woh onche building per lagata hai. Lesco wallay is per koi objection tau nahe kerrain gay. ??
