Lightning rods are not supposed to be hit by lightning. Sometimes they do but it’s not what they are for . They pull the ions out of the air to prevent lightning from happening. If you’re building does get hit the rods are not strong enough to stop damage to electrical or stop a fire

Usually I’ve seen the copper goes inside a PVC because sometimes when attached to the building, the building tends to damage anyway. And the end needs to be connected to a large copper plate sinned in minerals and conductive mixtures under the ground deep around 4-6 feet.

Nope its just like that. All we want to reach is it hits the top. Onec underneat the earth it can go where it wants. The house is the charger it spreads into the ground. We build allmost all houses with it i Swiss here...... you just start building it up from the cellar up to the roof with every level you connect more..... but we hide them inside the cementwalls from cellar and the brickwalls up..... you cant see it..... this obe must have been addet later on after the construction.....

@@MrCakocalypse Might be it’s to do with the soil in India. Maintenance of my office buildings used to be under me and these charger pit had to be maintained religiously. Else during inspections by the HQ would give me a mouthful. Once my neighbouring office didn’t maintain it and during a thunderstorm, all their telecommunications equipment got fried as a lightning struck the telecommunications wire going from one building to the other.

@@junaid42465 no im from Switzerland you silly😂 We install it in the standart family houses! Its since over 20 years as i stopped in construction and we used to install them here its standart! Here is every house earthquake safe the foundation must be put of propper cement and in the foundation ground we would cement it! Than we would lead it between the iron into the cellar walls they must also be concrete here! From there you just add parts and extend it allways between the bricks beceause our walls are from baked red bricks and cement! Double wall allways for the winter insulation! And you build it in between the 2 walls outside! All the way up to the roof! 🙄🙄🙄 Im a Swiss construction builder and we have one of the highest standarts here bro! Every level of the house has 2 times 15 inch bricks! Onec the outside wall than like 7 inch insulation and again a wall of 15 inch stones. This one must be put later or someone mindless build this house!

@@MrCakocalypse 😂😂 I did get it that you were from Switzerland. That’s why I mentioned India. In the North Western part of India were soil is mostly sandy or hard rocky, this is done. However, now when I think of it, in my hometown in the North Eastern part, we just used to stick it to the ground with a iron picket. The North East region has rich red soil and we get lots of rain and thunderstorms. But that was 30 yrs ago. I don’t know what’s the latest in the buildings and all there. It’s been 22 yrs away from home. We get all different kind of soil in different parts of the country. So might be the system is different in different region. I’ll have to check. 🍻
