The printer we use to print these out usually takes the photos on a usb stick and you have to have the photos at a specific size for printing. 100 percent quality increase the file file size a lot, 80 percent is okay and saves you a lot in file size. Good Video

Thanks for video, although so much missing, ie ratio example 1.5. x 2.3. print sizes to avoid cropping. Max print size for image calculating pixel content. Feel this leaves lot of questions when the image comes back cropped.

I'm curious, I have read that other color settings like the pro setting or adobe RGB contains more colors than srgb. I have also heard that a tiff file contains a lot more information than a JPEG. Isn't using JPEG and srgb cutting back and limiting your digital information?
@elektriksheep
@elektriksheep 2 жыл бұрын
sRGB is usually used for displaying images digitally on a screen like on social media or the internet in general. Adobe1998 is best for printing. You are correct about TIFF though, ideally if you want the best quality you should be exporting in a lossless format like TIFF rather than a compressed or lossy format like JPEG. Not all printing services accept TIFF but if you want the best results you'll find one that does :)

Why export to jpeg outside of Lightroom when you can print a RAW file using the ProPhoto color space directly from Lightroom? The color gamut is bake in for a jpeg, using a RAW file gives you a larger color gamut.

I agree, but my printer simplycolorlab.com insists on rgb only. I asked about CMYK but they said RGB. Maybe printers have changed that much.
