Love the guide!!! Helped me understand a lot of things between CFX and XenoPixel. Definitely be buying my next saber based on the info you provided. One thing, my first (and only) lightsaber I bought from Sabertrio, I got a Reaver CFX neopixel saber and it had gesture control. Had it since September 2022. Completely LOVE it.

you've saved me some money because i was about to get a proffie but never understood the difference between a xenopixel. Now that I understand it a bit better, I'm definitely getting the xeno!

My first lightsaber was a KyberLight baselit Neophyte- excellent quality for dueling and I ground down the hilt to make it smoother for spinning so it wouldn’t cut and scrape my hands up, then i acid etched the hilt and and added color to the acid etching. I highly recommend KyberLight for the features, durability, service, and ability to dual heavy with it.

Thank you for this video. I recently bought 2 ultrasabers because they had a 50% discount on the hilts, and 75% on their obsidian sound board. Sadly the ignition options i thought were depressing, because I didn't know what i wanted was Digipixile and up because of the way the sabers light up. SO now that I know thank you for this.

worse than the number of different saber types and builds is the number of distributors selling the same low quality stuff.

Plus, each vendor gives its own names, making it more confusing... This video is a must watch! Thanks.

Great idea to give a guide. When I started my collection in 2020 I didn't know there even was different soundboards , I went and started on Ultrasabers that I thought were premium back then. (Lucky I only custom ordered 1 from them, the others being the cheaper mystery box) . Only good thing was that it had RGBW rather than RGB. I ordered that custom Ultrasabers after watching a demo of a Korbanth saber, lol it was a bit of a let down when I got it. I've since got much wiser on my saber Purchases since then.

Holy hell went to go see who had a video explaining this stuff as im out of the loop of new tech. Low and behold you're wearing one of ours! Top stuff dude. Thanks for the help

cfx has had gesture control for a long time. you just have to set the right parameters. for example pof=400

I’ve just been trying to find a video of people’s top ten lightsaber picks instead of going for where to buy them. I already got a spot to get lightsabers, ultrasabers is my go to, and I already have three of their lightsabers, sentinel which is my favorite anakins lightsaber that’s actually better than I expected and one I don’t know the name of but I need a shorter blade for cause the hilt length feels more like a shoto use lightsaber. I’m just trying to see about another lightsaber hilt to get that looks cool but isn’t ridiculous in design that it’d be difficult to hold onto for training.

Great video, thanks! I've just picked up a couple of baselit sabers from Padawan Outpost with 16 inch blades and I was really surprised at how bright they are all the way up the blade! At what blade length would you say that you start losing that brightness? All the baselit sabers I've seen in person have been noticeable dimmer towards the tip

Sounds like Xenopixel is for me. I'm only in my teens, got a bunch of money saved up, wanting to buy a high quality (as in not just plastic blade) saber for the first time. Does it matter where I buy them from? The ones I know about are Imperial Workshop, OwnASaber, Bombsabers from thr KZfaqr Bombastic, and the recent release of theory sabers from the KZfaqr Star Wars Theory. Any advice on where to buy from would be great! Also, for context, I'm looking to get one that I can actually use, and for dueling I guess.

How about reliability? I had a rgb baselit and a xenopixel from ES Sabers, both died in under 6 months with only light use!

Ok I am understanding some of the types of lightsabers bc I was looking through some sabers and there were loads of types and I was very confused. I was looking for a tonfa but only see it on ultra lightsaber

After CFX released the GraFX upgrade Proffie was dead to me. Now even I can make animated ignition sequences easily. It’s just easier to use than Proffie. Sure you can technically do “more” with Proffie, it’s true…but can “YOU” do more with Proffie? Most people can’t do “more” and in fact proffie makes doing little things really hard… IMHO Proffie being able to do more is a dead argument for all but the most advanced users. Besides changing sound fonts, what’s more exciting than adding new pre-on’s and post-offs, blade styles and animations, custom RGB accessory lights and other installer friendly features. For the life of me, I don’t know what Proffie does more of that matters more than most of those things I already mentioned. Buy what you want, but don’t get sucked into the “MoAr” argument, just get the thing you can use and is easy to use.
