Lightweight Battery Install in My BRZ! (Antigravity ATX 20 + MeLe Design Battery Mount)

3 ай бұрынI added this lightweight battery to my brz about 2 years ago to my car and it's been working really well for me! That is, until I took it to Watkins Glen and my janky battery tie down didn't hold up to the massive curbs there. Now it's time to get a serious mount from Mele to make sure everything is sorted! I asked MeLe to send me the hardware from their ATX 30 kit meant for the BRZ and combined it with their Rally Spec kit meant for the ATX 20. Follow me on IG: / dadhatstm

If you're comfortable with splicing in wiring work, you could install the tein edfc active pro for your tein coilovers. Makes it easy work to adjust your damping from the driver seat

I've def considered adding them! the active damping that changes on the fly is veryyy interesting

I'm sitting here agast that you're using a 1/2" drive 10mm impact socket on your battery terminal. There's honestly nothing wrong with doing that. I think maybe I just have too many tools. 😅

how has your experience been with these? The techician at agb recommended the hd version since I am also dding it.

so far so good! it does die on me if I don't drive the car for like 10 days in a row but that's only happened a handful of times. think I've had it for around 2 years now

What benefits this the lightweight battery give, did it have an effect on lap times?

it's about 30lbs off the nose of the car. I didn't measure any differences so hard to know for sure, but I doubt it has a big effect on times
