It's Summer and it is time to convert that "winter" GHB to one for summer. Some things need to go out and some things need to come in. Make room for extra hydration. Also think about shade and how to stay cool. #gethomebag #gethomesafe #survival

Great video. BTW, the term you were searching for is an insulated "double walled" cup. Designed to let you comfortably hold a hot cup of coffee and keep the coffee hot a little longer than a single wall cup. Cheers!

One basic technique you can not perform with your kit is boil water . Swap Stanley cup for a stainless steel cup solves that shortfall . I'm not trying to tell you how to setup your kit ... you know what works for you.

Good point. This bag is designed to get me from work to home, and that is only a few miles. However, your suggestion is a good one and I will do that today.

I'd definitely keep bandanas, a mosquito head net, flashlight, light sticks, batteries, bic lighters and storm proof matches in my bag. I'd keep a winter hat in there all year round.

I really like the mosquito net idea! I live in the south, but keeping a tobaggan in the bag year-round is a good idea for areas more in the north where evenings can get chilly, even in summer.

@@CowboySurvival Yeah. Definitely. I live in CT, there's a lot of mosquitoes now I heard. For food, I'd keep protein bars. Don't need to cook them, can eat them with one hand and can eat them while on the move. Also don't need to carry a stove. Good to keep bandanas, water, energy drinks, head net, flashlights and batteries in there in case of a black out too, especially in the summer.

Based on your suggestion, I recently added a $2.99 mosquito net from WalMart, but I think the $7 net from coughlins is better.

@@CowboySurvival That's good. I got one from eBay. Only $1.72 and it's big, seems pretty good. I don't need anything fancy.

Agree with @mikelgeren149, a way to boil water would be helpful. Given that this is a short-term bag, event a simple Lifestraw, Sawyer mini filter, or water purification tabs would add to your capability in that area. You know your situation best, but if you end up shaving to bivouac at night on your way home, a pre-prepared ridgeline and 4-5 pre-prepared guy-lines would really be helpful. You could just store them inside the poncho stuff sack.

Those are both excellent suggestions. This bag is my EDC bag for around town. When I go out of town, the bag I carry is bigger and has both water purification capability and the ridgeline/poncho shelter solution. Thanks for watching! I love the feedback!
