Lasers are CHOICE for simply melting your enemy. I had been struggling in fights but you've taught me some tech. Boosting past the enemy is a good way to throw them off. Same for being directly above or below them.

I used to only run the Coral generator for its color, but I grew so much on the San-Tai that I can see myself using the others at this point haha. Also a thing that bugs me a lot is that we have so many different Boosters, and yet just 3-4 of them are good and the rest just useless.

Just so you know, plasma missiles do the same damage regardless of how many of them land. Overlapping plasma fields don't deal additional damage. Rather than firing off both shoulders at once, it would be better to fire them off in a staggered pattern (one and then the other) to keep up pressure.

This exactly. I always wonder why people so rarely backpaddle in PvP. Just pay attention to the distance number and stay out of your opponent's optimal range. Everyone should all mentally know the ideal range of every weapons by now, and able to steer your AC accordingly. The distance game is so important. If your weapon can do full damage at 180 meters, there's absolutely no reason for you to be any more closer than that.

I have 2 variants of this type of build. One uses the Kasuar legs for max jump distance and the laser pistols instead of rifles and Trueno's instead of plasma missiles. I call it Mosquito because it's super annoying to fight cause I'm just constantly buzzing around almost impossible to hit while constantly stinging with the pistols and needles, performs really really well at keep away. And if the opponent isn't ready for the Trueno you can practically get free staggers every time they lock on. The other also uses Kasuar legs and keeps the Laser Rifles but for back weapons opts for laser orbits for even more laser spam, though this version is fairly less successful. Also, I am absolutely GLUED to the VP-44D head. Not only is it one of the best looking in my opinion, but the stats on that thing are fantastic. Only 200 less AP than the Verill and only 15 less Attitude Stability than the Mind Beta which has the highest out of any head piece but has 360 less AP than the VP-44D. Meaning the VP-44D likely has the nicest balance of AP and Attitude Stability for around high-mid of the pack for weight and energy cost. PSA: If you can fit it, I strongly recommend using the VP-44D head piece anywhere you can fit it.

I've used this similar build before. I don't run it in 3v3s too often. But it's pretty good.

There was a dude that met my high speed laser build (dual orbits, twin blade, and double plasma rifle) with an even faster smg build. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve seen

I got a mid weight reverse joint build that’s great for duels but ok for 3v3. I feel like in order to be successful w 3v3, you have to be more than a medium weight either have high stagger weapons or weapons that deal massive damage in general, which is more useful for non-lightweight builds

Nice build, but awesome piloting! This video shows that builds are fun, but if you want to win, in the end it's not the build that makes the difference, it's the pilot!

I always wondered why people said Zimmerman were meta, like I get they cause huge stun on impact (before the patch) but you just proved the thought I was having: “it doesn’t matter how good they are if you can’t reach your opponent”

I’ve been running a similar build with light reverse joint legs, no shoulder weapons, heavy laser rifle and medium laser rifle in 3v3s and it wrecks. Had some games where I triple the points of the second highest scorer.

The laser pistols are pretty great super fast I run pretty much similar build love lasers so much

Try replacing the plasma missiles with laser orbit since they will take the bonus from the generator, work well too with dual laser pistol. Lemme know, it's my primary build in pvp and it rocks

Did you by any chance played with this build yesterday evening? I played against someone with the same set-up and I think colors and had some pretty good matches, but no matter how hard I tried I got absolutely MELTED in the end. GGs!

plasma missiles don't scale with energy weapon specialization. plasma missiles still have their uses, but if you find a set of missiles that you like better, you aren't losing damage.

Solid. I prefer the laser pistols for their insane DPS, though. Pretty much what I use as a general purpose mech.

why not the mind betas if you want jump distance?

I use something similar but it’s mind beta legs and gridwalker. I haven’t tried that play style with nacht legs but rj + gridwalker go really well together.

You should try the Laser Pistol, Wueger, and two kranich bubble shooters. You can fit all 4 on the 20B and they all benefit from the Energy weapon boost.

Fought something like this today and it was pretty annoying haha. Took out my heavy biped laser build and mostly whipped the floor with him except for one round where he out distanced me since my build is for close encounters. Started to assault boost into him though and turned it around again usually winning with 50%+ AP. Really cool build though, might go and make one since it’s tournament legit for now.

Wow nice.. im using the exact same build. While i love it to bits, i discovered it has a few bad match ups. Against Heavier Laser builds with high laser resistence. Extremely Aggressive AB Kinetic dmg builds and Builds built on inflicting stagger quickly and a few others. However.. Its one of the most enjoyable builds to play, infact its my main.

My build use medium weight build part with dual laser pistol and the dual 10 missile. Man that build you just fire the missile and spam the laser pistol at enemy. They cannot even breath 😂 cause I attack continuesly....

When I see a player using a quad double Zimmermans, I just move away because Its totally a anti game build. The guy will just spam quad kick and zim zim, abusing of his huge stagger resistance of the quad and the stagger power of zims. Bullshit build… Only way to win is to use the same shit, or using a super lightweight sniper build like yours. Hope they will nerf Zimmerman and the stability of quads.
