This time, i rode the Sky Rail, which was announced to be discontinued at the end of April 2024🐣 the Sky Rail is the only transportation system in the world that was loved and used by many people while losing nearly 100 million yen a year.
The ride is a combination of a monorail and a ropeway, and it was a rare sight to see it gliding over a residential area 😲.
The weather was beautiful and the view of the sky and greenery was very pleasant!
If you haven't ridden it yet, please give it a try. I highly recommend it😊.

It's a shame they're getting rid of it. It reminds me of the monorail that used to be in Sydney that got closed down. The one in Sydney was pretty much an icon because you'd always see it go past you as you were walking the streets. But now, Hiroshima will be losing it's icon too. Sad really. Great video though Yua! Picturesque scenery!

以前、このみどり坂の近くに住んでました。ここのお好み焼き屋さんも、何度か通った所です。動画見ながら懐かしさを覚えました。普段、生活していると何気ないことでも、こうして動画になると綺麗に見えるから、あら不思議！ここの団地は元々、スカイレールタウンみどり坂という団地で、スカイレールがJR山陽本線と直結しているのが売りでした。なくなるのは寂しいですが、これも時代の流れなのですね。また、素敵な動画、待ってます。

Very good video. I was able to enjoy the Skyrail even though I am only watching on a 40” screen here in Chicago. It is rather strange seeing everything is automated, yet seems to function perfectly without any staff around. The views from overhead are wonderful, that region is quite beautiful. It was also fun seeing the restaurant inside. Thank you for sharing the experience. I look forward to watching more on your channel.

It's sad there discontinuing the skyrail. It's such a neat transportation concept. But it must be very high cost maintenance to keep it going safe. Thanks for documenting this before it's gone. It well live on in videos like this. 👍

Thank you for another great video and sharing your valuable time with us. You make this fun and entertaining and also a learning experience. With the weather such as it was the scenery is stunning. I'm also sad to hear it's being discontinued as it has such great historical value. It's unfortunate that money is being lost however with its operation. This area seems naturally different than tokyo where I had the honor and good fortune to work and live for two years a long time ago. You always do a great job and I appreciate it very much.

Great view and a pretty quick ride going up or down the various hills. But looking at where it goes, it serves two home developments in which every house pretty much has a car. Not enough people using it, etc.

I hope another kind of transportation will take its place as I'm sure the local people depend on it, and will have to find another source of transportation. I think the reason is because these videos are professionally produced and edited by a third party, possibly the Japan tourism authority. This way she can remain anonymous while keeping high standards. Her videos are awfully slick for a young girl.
