They make it sound like he was driving a bread truck and had never thrown bags before. Matt Guy was a professional horseshoe player at that time and his muscle memory was already instilled in his shot. He started way ahead of the pack.

Plus driving a bread truck is probably a decent enough career. You’re not going to become a millionaire but you probably make decent wage with benefits and retirement.
