It would be weird to drop the bombshell that ash is around his late 20s to mid 30s. While the Pokémon world has seen minimal technological changes since Journeys. And going by the logic of Pokémon since Ash is 10 throughout the series have seen major technological innovations and advancements that in the real world took decades, while the guy himself is 10 years old through these changes. Meaning human biology and year system works differently in the Pokémon world. I think ash would be probably 14 or maybe 15/16, as going by the show's logic. However, if they decided to make a decade pass, making him 20 years old. I wouldn't argue. And I wouldn't expect any major interaction between the two other than a symbolic passing the torch from one previous protagonist to the current one. And we get to see Ash as a cameo.
