I relate so much to this song. During 2020, I’ve lost friends... over stupid things, politics... even some just stabbing my back. They still block me, still talk bad about me to others. I’ve held a grudge, but I’m over it. I realize they have their perspectives on the situation and maybe they are going through rough shit as well. This song makes me think of that. And if only they could “switch up perspectives and sip that smoothie” and we could all talk it out. Not be friends again... but at least hear where the other is coming from. If only they saw me like how they see themselves..
@papasscooperiaworker36493 жыл бұрын
Same... I think I gotta unfriend people because they're getting so heated over "racism". It's so hard to have a conversation without them bringing race into the conversation all the time. The problem isn't that they're talking about race; it's that they're talking about it when the problem they're addressing isn't actually a problem. But they refuse to understand my point of view while I've listened to theirs and adjusted my perspective to have reasoning from their side. Well, at least Lil Darkie gets it.

You my friend are woke.♥️🙏 Same situation here. Wished they also saw things like I do. We all have a journey. Maybe one day they'll also come to this realization.

i really wish he'd do more melodic songs like this and colossal conflict part 3, he has suuuuuch a good singing voice, i feel like in a way it's almost wasted on some of the songs he does that have more harsh, direct vocals

“I wish you could see that Im a person too, I wish you could see that i am hurting too” man that line hits so hard and just describes these past years of my life, my whole life my friends and family never questioned or made sure my mental health was alright, it was almost as if they never thought i struggled or felt sadden before, like i was incapable of feeling negative emotions. Even now STILL nobody ever ask if im alright or how im doing, about 3-4 years ago I was confused with life, i felt so insecure and sad about myself and certain things and even now i still sometimes feel empty. i see all my old and new friends going out yet im never invited, nobody calls, text, or checks on me. I just feel so alone but in the end all I can do is just smile and feel happy for them.

People should really think before they speak. If you were in your shoes what would you do? Is what your thinking really worth saying out loud to them? If so would it actually change anything? If it changed anything do you think it'd change positively?
