Respect to Lil Durk. I saw Morgan Wallen in Nashville on March, 18th, where Lil Durk came out and sang Broadway Girls with him. They were both phenomenal and to see Lil Durk use logic, reasoning and understanding to approach this situation is amazing. Morgan was drunk, talking shit to his buddies. We’ve all done it, the only difference is that we all have the ability to make mistakes whereas Morgan is expected to be perfect. Lil Durk seems like he has a good head on his shoulders and he doesn’t follow the sheep. I love what y’all did and I love seeing a human with sound, respectable morals. We need more people like Lil Durk in this world.

Listen at the end of the day, blood and pain and tears have been spilled behind what it means to be black. People will never see it lightly, we’ve sacrificed too much to have basic respect. Justify it if you want but it wasn’t acceptable to say. No saying he is racist but more so insensitive and ignorant to what it means to be a black person.

@@jordan-gn8wv you really are naive. Everytime a white person says something racist, a black person is always there to offer an alternative. When mel Gibson went on that racist phone rant, Danny glover the first to defend him. Nothing new. White guy says something racist and gets a popular black person to have a sit down with. If Morgan wallen was black and was saying some "woke" stuff you'd be on the other side of the fence calling him a libtard. It's not what the "crowd" says. White ppl have no respect for black ppl to the point where they won't dare say "wetback" to a Mexican. You wouldn't dare play that racist shit with a Jew. You wouldnt dare justify someone calling them that. But it's funny how when it's black ppl, y'all wanna say bs like "y'all say it so why can't we" to try to justify not having respect for another person's culture. So that's why the "crowd" gets on racist habits like ths, because idiots like you treat racial slurs like jokes with bad taste.

People these days need to hear this man everyone is so hateful, judging everyone based on party affiliation and what groups they belong to and what mistakes they made in the past instead of who they are as people on an individual level, it's messed up and look where it's taking us as a country. We're so divided as a country and people like that are fueling it. A lot of the people calling for unity are also the most divisive and hateful.

Problem is u HAVE to know when to cut that shit off..... if you weren't comfortable with saying it privately then you wouldn't say it accidentally in front of the wrong people at the wrong time. Hip hop music is pop music now so my recommendation is that you practice harder or just don't say the word at all. Say ninja, Nickel, jigga. I'm more concerned with how he handled it and who he really is as a person. WE KNOW WE KNOW... Be Careful!!!

I'm black and I can say I don't think he was saying the N word in a racist way. I think he thought he was cool enough with black ppl that he could use the word like we do. He's a young guy so I'm sure he's learned his lesson, he has to recognize his level of fame. When I was younger I had a couple white friends that hung with mostly black guys that would use the N word like we did and they were far from racist. But now that we're 40 and they matured they realize that even if they're not using the word in a racist way they still don't use it because of the history behind the word and how they can be perceived.

As a black person, I never really cancelled him. He's just too talented. I have always bumped his music. I stopped and waited for his response. But something I look at is 1. Did you make a stupid mistake or do you really identify with your actions? 2. Do you understand WHY what you did is offensive? 3. Do you even care? 4. What steps did you take to rectify that mistake? My boy linked up with organizations in black community. They told him their story. I'm sure he knows quite a bit about the plight of black people but he needed to connect with black people and hear it from them. Understand "hey we're humans like you and we shouldn't have to feel discomfort or tension with y'all" he made dumbass mistakes prior to that. Alot of these mistakes encouraged by his alcohol problem and with this, he made sure to tell his white fans "thanks for the love but please don't defend my actions" which I respected. So I don't wanna make excuses for Brody just because I like him. I know racism IS an issue in the country music industry. Not blind to that but I honestly don't think he's racist. HIS FANS THO? KINDA SUS. Ain't too many real country artists rn. I bop that whole last album and his first one. He's forgiven in my book.

@@rob3762 do your research, countless black artist had their songs and work stolen while they died in obscurity. Not trying to start a fight but just saying there is history there, and it’s not at all a clean one. But rock and country all boil down to black blues! So yeah shouldn’t be any racism in such an industry that is rooted in black style and influence.

Why would Lil Durk be racist? if anything he has the right he grew up in the real trenches dealing with nothing but racism, violence, and much more. Thats kind of crazy you would make a statement like that. We not talking about durk being racist it was Morgan who learned his lesson and had to donate his money for making racist remarks. He made a mistake and owned it something alot more you hillbillys need to learn.
