I watched L'il Ed blow down Manny's Car Wash on the Upper East Side of NYC one night in 1986. He shimmied down the top of the bar, out the front door, and across 3rd avenue without missing a beat. We watched him play through the window overlooking 3rd from the bar. Finally, he came back, walked back down the top of the bar, returned to the stage and hit the final note. You could hear a pin drop for 10 seconds ... no one knew what to do: We were in awe! Amazing. More amazing is the fact that I had seen him for the first time that afternoon giving a free concert in Central Park. His energy was amazing. I was exhausted watching him twice in one day.
