During his SNL performance where he had that wardrobe malfunction, I thought he had such an adorable expression. After seeing him in this interview, his face just has a brightness to it. Like he just seems like a good kid. I want to support him and this song validated my decision. Literally brought me to tears. Poor guy getting hate for no good reason.

I can’t relate to lil Nas backstory but I can definitely feel what he’s been through and I respect that he overcame that and went off to be a better person because he only needs himself and became successful and showed the people that doubted him that they were wrong.

3:34-3:36 I really relate to this lyric in particular. When I was struggling with suicidal thoughts/depression, they wouldn't care and keep joking around about how I should do it. They would physically abuse me all the time. Fortunately, I dropped those friends and im much happier now.
