I've recently gone through traumatizing events since September, I graduated college (cum-laude), got my first apartment and car all within 2 months period, and met the love of my life I was on cloud 9 with life and achievements.... but they're people in this world rather see you down and miserable than happy and successful (jealousy)... Then I was listening to Lil Nas X's album, At first Lost in the Citadel song had me releasing my tears of anger, sorrow, regret, and loneliness, but then I heard VOID..... I wake up every day and ask god and myself, Why is my heart bigger than the universe, but easily broken like wet paper? Is this song telling my pain and, who is it directed to? Is this a farewell or a suicide note? . Being the black sheep makes you realize, In 13 reasons why, Hanner Baker was asking and trying to seek help from friends and family but in the end, it wasn't enough. Everyone, take care of yourself and please check on your mental health. Lastly, If no one ever told you "I love you " well I do and I wish and pray your blessing and dreams come true. 👋😢

I cried when I heard this song even though my english is not good. I don't understand the whole meaning of the lyrics but why am i so sad? I feel pain, belated regret, and utter helplessness all mixed together.
