These types of shows are known as "Pay to Play." They get a bunch of random opening acts (doesn't matter if they're good or what they sound like), and require them to sell a minimum number of tickets to be allowed to perform (or pay for the tickets themselves if they can't sell them all). It's easy money for the artist and promoter, without needing to actually promote the show. What the fans get is what you see here. 15 minutes of the actual main act, and a bunch of openers you don't want to hear (other than the one that sold you a ticket).

How did this guy get discovered? He seems like he came out of nowhere. Possible industry plan? Not sure. But he has a few jammin songs. As far as his live show? Looks questionable. There is discord between him and his DJ where there should be chemistry.
