If my child got excellent grades, graduated high school and got accepted into a good college, helped out around the house and with their family, didn't get into any accidents that's their own fault for 2 yrs, as well as having good money making and managing skills like my parents taught me.. I'd get them an expensive car at 18 as a graduation/birthday/Christmas/congrats gift. But if they wreck it and it's their fault...they have to fix it and start paying the insurance on it.
