The dude has been disconnected from his community since he was like 14. He is a rich, well known celebrity. Everyone knows who lil Wayne is and nobody is going to treat HIM the same way others are treated. He doesn't experience racism the way others do because he is famous and everyone wants to take a picture with him.

Wayne isn't stupid enough to burn bridges over something as stupid as BLM. Wayne has to disconnect himself from ignorant black people to remain excepted by white corporate and continue growing. Look at what happened when Jay-Z kissed the corporate white peoples ass and Dame didn't. Their careers took 2 completely different directions and one is significantly more successful than the other.

***** Against my better judgment I will point out a couple of things about being a minority who is African American in this country. First of all I never said he claimed to be like Pac. I said he is no Pac and there is a difference between the two assertions. Pac was very much aware of who he was in America. You don't need to be a political activist to do so. However, there is a respect that comes with those who paid the price before you and allowed you to be successful. The cost was pretty expensive. Pacs mother was an activist. So he was very much well aware. To make silly claims in interviews that directly contradict your music is disrespectful. Not just to black people but to everyone who made these sacrifices including white people. Nobody said or is saying he needs to join BLM. But they are out there for a cause. There is a root to why you seem them. Lil Wayne is black and doesn't need to be two faced about what he himself raps about. It's disrespectful!!!

Why are we looking to lil wayne for social advice or awareness? Lil wayne is a drug addict who needs some sort of substance abuse counseling (rehab) lets hope he gets the help he needs. Blessings
@CameronCourts
@CameronCourts 7 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying. But I don't think anyone is looking to him for advice or awareness. Like Char said, the 180 and hypocrisy is just a little surprising. Not to me. I don't give any of them my money. But for those that do support him, the switch up is surprising.

Why is that a problem i got alot of friends who smoke weed and stuff and they good people, i never seen them try to sell or give it out like its Christmas and they looked like gang bangers but i never said “oh u a drug addict go to rehab” cause they dont need it.... they will get it when they want to i dont hint it out or say anything cause its not a problem... and ik these people for yeeeaaaarrrssssss even personal levels they never try and do bad or hurt people they jus themselves they feel things like people and stuff but they get the stupid comment like urs like “they not smart they drug addicts why we getting advise from them” i use to be fucked up they were a massive influence in my life now i make money and stuff and every now and then like birthdays and shit i take them out i spoil them and they do good they even come to me for advise and stuff or anything... but not once will u see me go up to them or anyone and say that comment or judge them jus cause they dont look the part or look like what u want them to look like if u get what im sayin....

Winter Souljah843 well I agree but if you have money then you should use that money to buy a brain because Lil Wayne do not have a brain he can't even form appropriate Literacy sentence with all the money that he has I rather be literate and poor than illiterate and Rich because he has detached from reality he don't know who he is and you can look at him if anybody common-sense can look at my Lil Wayne and tell him he's detached from himself

Nobody talks about the other issue with this interview which is the way Lil Wayne talked to this lady interviewing him, on primetime TV. I mean, he talked to her as if she was a wooden object or a toy. It was absolutely shocking, as shocking to me as his actual stance on racism which is totally ignorant of course...
