@@spolI think it is a combination of all of the above, you are never gonna completely shut him down, but being a big guy you can wear him out and slow him down when it matters, but you also need a Rodman/Draymond type of player/effort for it, it worked against Shaq, Olajuwon, etc, etc, and it will work again because that’s exactly how they played him on game 2

What makes Gobert a good defender is his ability to get to any play and cause a possible disruption, and no one does it better than him. However, he's not a very good one-on-one defender, especially against big guys that can score like Joker, AD, Embiid, and even Sabonis.

@@Tokogeta Obviously I watched them last year. Otherwise I wouldn't have literally said what I said above. But come on, they only lost once at home and never played a game 7 and beat up on a couple of play in teams back to back in the conference finals and finals. This year we got to see them vs a tougher western conference & vs the best team in the league by far. Being one of only 4 teams to beat the Celtics on their home all year isn't like any feat they had last year.
