If the color grading is like this because the movie was shot using the 40s or 50s concepts then it is wrong. Color grading in modern movies have been used to convey moods in the movies. Sunny (warm color) depicts hope, happiness and all the good things while dark and grey coloring depucts sorrow darkness gloom uncertainty death war etc. It is on purpose. This movie is a comedy so unless it is a tragic comedy (and I don’t mean Ramsey dying) the color grading is really off.

With the level that the Ghana movie industry is in now nu, I'll applaud any effort these guys put in with their own resources to produce these movies. From the recent Frank Raja movie featuring Archbishop Nick and Kyekyeku's movie to this one by Lilwin. I applaud them...kudos. 👏 ✌️ 🙌 ❤

The movie is just clearly showing indigenous Ghanaian community and when the Europeans came to colonise. It’s just somehow depicting what a typical indigenous Ghanaian society was like and maybe the certain situations they faced. Also the witchcraft and those other things were what the traditional Ghanaian society was practicing before these people came in here and the Europeans wanted it removed at a point so yeah

This country eh......Did you guys realize that when Scanty and the other guy were saying all the obvious positive things about the trailer, Sheldon seemed not to agree with them and kept heckling them, and yet the moment they began talking about the poor brightness of the video and other negative things about the trailer, he (sheldon) quickly started supporting them and encouraging them to talk more about those negative things?. First of all, the movie is about our history and there's no African history without spirituality. Secondly, with the darkness of the movie, its depicting a certain era, and that era wasn't the 21st Century where colour matters, so in all they did well.. i will watch this movie ❤

Well, so in this case the production should've briefed the public on the kinda story they're painting, let the people know this is what the movie is about. Now remember in the western world there are movie critics whose job is to criticize a movie thoroughly and producers and directors take that and build upon it. If not then he should just take it in a good heart and refine it in his next project. But in all he did well, the movie is cool.

if you wachted the closing episode of GAME OF THRONES its was a low key light kinda scene.. the Colorist could have done much but trust me i dont get it when Scanty and sheldon says the video is dark. its not every movie that has high key lightening.. moody and low light cinematography is also a thing is the cinema way of production. how to shot in sheldon studio for review is differently from a movie scene

8:32 Scanty a movie's lightning and a KZfaq video ain't the same and it's up to the producer to choose his preference. It's part of the art. Batman movies has have the iconic dark lightning which if it's changed will loose it's appeal because it's become symbolic with the character. Maybe you can interview the producer and pose the question to him as to why the movie is dark

color grading is extremely important and a very necessary stage. it could that they had the team and a colorist to really pull it through however the time frame they gave would not be favorable for him or the team. a lot of people won't really understand but color grading and color correction is a big-time work.

Every movie has a look so you can’t expect every movie to be bright. Try comparing mad max and into the bad lands and you’d see difference. Davinci does the work and most top movies use that.

I agree with kojo at some point because we can’t use a space of juts 1 or two months to get a better pictures and am even surprised that the trailer is out they should’ve taken their time to shoot and get a better post production work and he should have involved some movie directors like pasca etc so they give their thoughts on it.
