She can be both. The dark Lilith that owns Alastor's soul and a loving mother who does this in part to protect Charlie.

My theory for Lilith: Evil, awful, and extremely powerful, but still a loving mother to Charlie because that's how manipulation works. I could see her as a terrible person when Charlie isn't looking, then kind the second she's there. Lilith might also try to convince Charlie that Vaggie isn't a good partner because of her experiences with fallen angels.

The saddest part is that I genuinely don't know what Alastor would do if Charlie gave him back his soul contract. As much as we want to believe that Alastor will have a change of heart, for all we know, Lilith could be right.

I mean I saw some detalils that is true: the black dimond necklace and some white lines on her hair, in the paintings Lilith wheres a pearl necklace and has some darker lines. So it could only mean that this could mean that this is eve in disguise or someone that only looks like lilith.

I'm open to the idea that Lilith is a villain like a "It Was Lilith All Along" kinda thing or something else I doubt she's a morally upright person because she's been away from her daughter for 7 years,took her daughter away from her father when they were having a bonding moment and didn't interfere when her daughter was in danger. Whatever happens in the next season(s), Lilith better give a genuine apology to Charlie

Lilith is most likely the one that drove Lucifer and Charlie apart, making Charlie think that Lucifer is too busy to care about her but in reality Lucifer missed and love her daughter very much, she most likely didn't want lucifer to catch up with her plan.

I still don't think that women at the end of ep 8 was LIlith. I still believe that was eve in disguise. And maybe she traped Lilith somewhere and took her place and made a deal with Adam to stay in Heaven. So when she was put by Lute to go to Hell and stop Charlie's hotel she would most likely that she would pretend to be LIlith and manipulate Charlie but would make Lucifer very suspicious of her.

The moment I saw the title I was like, “Oh god, did they… nooooooo, they didn’t…. (Plays video)…. THEY DID, THEY ABSOLUTELY DID, YOU LEGEND!” This fits WAY better than it should, personally, given the family photos we’ve seen at Lucifer’s place, I don’t think Lilith will be FULL ON Mother Gothel, but I can certainly see shadows of the character in Lilith. I also ABSOLUTELY expect there to be tension between Lilith and Alastor, and for Lilith to pick up immediately that Alastor is trying to use Charlie to weedle his way out of whatever Contract Lilith has him under. So the idea that if tension does appear between Charlie and Lilith down the road, Lilith may just pull a move like this one, giving Charlie, Alastor’s contract so she can test his loyalty… and given what we know of Alastor so far, Lilith would be proven right, without the need for trickery.

You know I actually thought Lucifer would be the abusive parent and Lilith would be the good one when the pilot came out, but it looks like it’s the other way around.

I read this as a combination of Lilith looking out for her own interests (keeping things on the level with Heaven) and also giving Charlie what she genuinely means as “tough love”: she’s tried to show Charlie that Alastor isn’t trustworthy and will ultimately choose himself first; whatever feelings he might have developed aren’t as important to him as his own freedom. And if Charlie won’t believe that… maybe she needs to learn the hard way. Maybe she needs to make her own mistakes.

I don't know that to think about Lilith. On one hand she made a deal with Adam to escape to Heaven's luxury and probably owns Alastor's soul - a fact that he doesn't enjoy at all. But on the other hand knowing from the pictures in Lucifer's castle and Charlie's storytelling - Lilith appears to genuinely love her husband and her daughter and I don't think she would abandon them for something as petty as a vacation. Besides when you think about it, Hell is a truly terrible place to live in for pure demons and sinners alike.

I don't agree with the idea of Lilith as a manipulative mother for various reason, but the video is very well done, both for the animation and the song choice. If Lilith it reveal to be a villain, which I dubt so, I hope she'll have a song like this.
